The apartment is very well appointed for a holiday stay. The kitchen has everything you need and everything is in working order. The shower is very good. Everything was clean. Having undercover parking nearby is a plus. The view is fantastic!
The instructions to arrive, for the self check in and for getting to the parking spot are good.
You have to be aware that Via Ficarella is not a street but stairs (as many others in lovely Castelmola) and the entrance to the apartment is closer to the bottom of the stairs. So if you are driving, keep going around the corner from where Google maps tells you to stop and it's much more convenient.
Communication with the host was good.
The start of the walk down to Taormina is about 30 meters away.
The apartment and furniture are starting to show a bit of wear and tear and even though the photos are accurate, the apartment is not presented with the attention to detail that's shown in the pictures.
No fault of the host, but be aware that there is a barking dog next door, cats fighting on the steps and people walking up and down in front of the bedroom window, so if you are a light sleeper, you might want to consider earplugs.

Peu d’équipements dans la cuisine, le plafond de la salle de bain s’effritait, il y avait des fourmis sous la plaque de cuisson qui se baladaient partout sur le plan de travail.
Le matelas et les oreillers n’étaient pas très confortables

Het uitzicht was geweldig en het gratis parkeren was ideaal. Het dorpje castelmola was erg cute
Het hoofdkussen had voor ons wat meer vulling mogen hebben.

Value for money
Garage (if works) for Castelmola where you cannot find parking.
Its not easy to find the apartment. Preparation video and photos could be better explained, some video maybe?
The garage was locked and our car stays indoors, so we cannot go outside of the Castelmola.
The owner could be more proactive and welcomed, to understand guests.
