Located in Martinborough, this lovely house for $131 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. The Wine Box is a lovely character cottage on a one hectare site on the edge of the Martinborough township. Set in amongst 200 olive trees there is plenty of outdoor space. The wood fired pizza oven and gas BBQ provide an outstanding outdoor living environment. Inside there is a master bedroom with ensuite and french doors opening out to the olive grove, a second bedroom with a queen bed and the third bedroom has a single bed and a queen bed. The main bathroom has an antique claw foot bath with shower. A kitchen (with nespresso machine) looks after all cooking requirements if you chose to dine at the house. Please note that there is only a bar fridge as there is not room for a full size one. The lounge has a wood burner - THIS DOES NOT HAVE A FIRE GUARD SO SMALL CHILDREN NEED TO BE SUPERVISED DURING WINTER MONTHS. With a 10 minute stroll to the square, all the features of Martinborough are available to you. Special conditions: There is no smoking indoors, and pets are welcome but must stay off beds and furniture and rugs. Please pick up cigarette butts and after your dog. Rentals are minimum 2 nights stay for standard bookings, but 3 nights stay for special weekends (eg, Fairs / concert weekends / long weekends). Minimum rate is for two people using one bed. Additional beds are at the additional people rate. Check in is 4pm, Check out is 12nn unless otherwise requested. Extras: Cleaning (included); Linen (included);

We very much enjoyed our stay. The pizza oven was a hit very peaceful surronds. The house could do with some TLC lots of cobwebs and spiders. Overall a good option for a stay in Martinborough.

Outside area which was big draw card for staying with pizza oven etc was shabby, overgrown with weeds, cobwebs and plants gone wild. For summer visitors needs some attention

5 of us stayed very comfortably at this house nestled in the olive grove. Loved the outdoor bath, pizza oven, and overall country feel. Great comms with the host - thanks again for reuniting me with my shoes, Trish!

The property is a quiet tranquil setting. The house has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Very relaxing and making pizzas in the pizza oven was a highlight!

This is our second stay at this property. It a great spot and easy car parking. No Skytv this year, not sure why ? Seemed to be a lot of cob webs this year. Everything else was clean and tidy. Would rent again.

This property is in many ways not as it's represented in the photos or description and I would suggest they were updated so people know what to expect. The kitchen is poorly kitted out. The draws and cupboards are full of the owners own things but they need a serious decluttering and filling with things visitors actually need like a decent clean frying pan, more mugs and non chipped plates. The kettle sounded like it was going to explode. The oven knobs were broken and there was no manual on how it worked so we were unable to get it to heat. The coffee machine that is so beautifully featured in the advertising is not even there. The nespresso machine was nice but a shame they couldn't leave even a couple of pods for people to use. We ran out of gas for the BBQ and there was no replacement and we couldn't be bothered with trying to arrange a replacement. The outside area is potentially beautiful but needs a huge tidy up. The whole of the outside of the property including the guttering, walls, decks and the wooden furniture was in desperate need of a water blast. The mouldy deck chair outside on the main bedroom deck was nothing short of disgusting and should be binned. The garden needs to be properly maintained and for the weeds and long grass around the house to be removed. And the bicycles are in very poor condition and should not be advertised as available since they look like they haven't been maintained in years. Tyres were all flat and the bikes were covered in cob webs. Overall this could be a really nice place. It's quirky. The layout is a bit odd and not especially functional for seating but it has character that I like. The outside bath tub was a delight if you just focused on the distant landscape. I just feel that it been neglected and the advertising makes it look way more luxurious than it is. It's a semi functional and over priced house, albeit in a very nice quiet location.

Lovely property to stay at, handy to town short drive to the square. Loved the comfy bed. Just needs the outside driveway to be shingled as when wet is muddy trying to get stuff in/out of car. Would not put us off staying again in future

Lovely cottage in a peaceful setting, with beautiful touches. Wish we could have stayed longer! Everything worked well and beds were super-comfortable. We spent much of our weekend time at the wedding we were attending but we all left remarking that it would have been great to spend more time here. Next time!

Disaaponted that couldn't down load instructions re check in and had to call host. There were no instructions we could see that told us about WiFi so we had none. We could not get the oven to work and there were no intructions about same. Overall a nice place and comfortable beds

We enjoyed our stay. More and higher quality photos would have helped us know what to expect. Quite bachy, nothing flash but well equipped and comfy beds and bedding. Needs some TLC and the bikes are definitely not usable! Has sky tv, but no wifi (an FYI for future guests). Hot water system had to be reset a few times with the switch located outside across boggy grass. Great log burner, kept us cosy!

We had wonderful time staying in the renovated historic cottage. Everything is modern enough for convenience but still has a nod to the history of the property. Heaps of outdoor space for your dogs to run around. Quiet country road so it's safe and relaxing. The fire heats the house nicely in colder weather. There is a large outdoor pizza oven for summer dinners. We will definitely be staying here again.

Pleasant place to stay. Looks more charming in reality than in the online photos.Only surprise was that there was no toilet paper in either of the bathrooms - presumably an oversight by whoever does the post- visit cleaning. Otherwise well appointed. Would defintely stay there again.

Lovely property with lots of character, situated right in the heart of olive groves. Lovely and quiet but very handy to town on our bikes. Comfy beds, all the amenities (except washing machine) Trish very accommodating as we were a day late due to ferry hiccups. Definitely recommend staying here.
