About this villa rental
Located on the town (beach side) of Puerto Morelos. Sea views from upstairs in la palapa. A short 4 minute walk to wide beach entrance. Easy 20 min walk to town on beach or paved road for biking or walking. 8 minute drive to town. 10 min on bike. A private home with stunning new pool in one of the most beautiful settings in Puerto Morelos. A stay in our two story Beach House offers “the best of all possible worlds”
Combining a 'traditional' Mayan Palapa with a modern Adobe home, great snorkeling and swimming with easy beach access. Large front sundeck and back terrace deck with heavenly outdoor shower and gorgeous completely private pool.
Downstairs fully air conditioned living room bedroom air conditioned with en suite bath.
Upstairs in la palapa is also fully air conditioned shower on outside terrace.
We are located in the town of Puerto Morelos, only twenty minutes south of Cancun airport and ten minutes from the main highway leading to historic Mayan sites, popular tourist attractions and modern shopping and dining.
The upstairs 'Palapa' (newly air conditioned) has a twenty-five foot high thatched peaked ceiling with varnished wood beams and tiled floors, a king size bed and hammocks, a private bathroom and two outdoor sundecks – one facing the ocean where you can sunbathe and enjoy the Caribbean breezes – fabulous sunsets over the jungle from the back terrace. You can watch the sun rise from your upstairs bed or luxuriate in an invigorating outdoor shower surrounded by palms and bamboo trees.
The town plaza of Puerto Morelos is only five minutes by car, taxi, an easy bike ride or a twenty-minute leisurely walk along the beach. Puerto Morelos, a small unassuming town with all the conveniences you could desire and no tourist congestion, boasts fine restaurants, a pizza parlor, cafés, a playground, church, beaches, a grocery store, a bookstore, a travel agency, and a dive shop (if you decide not to snorkel from the beach in front of the Palapa) and once a week an outdoor fresh produce market.
You can also sun and shop and play in Cancun or Playa del Carmen or tour the Mayan ruins of Chichen Itza, Coba and Tulum. The entire coast (the Mayan Riviera) is one long stretch of beautiful beaches, cabanas, and ecological environmental parks where you can horseback ride, swim in ceynotes and underground caves and visit the historical Mayan Ruins. Taxis are plentiful and reasonable for trips up and down the coast. There are also tour buses to various Mayan sites that can be booked in Puerto.
The biggest problem? You'll never want to leave!!

A beautifully presented and located house, on the edge of the Jungle, yet only 5 minutes from town. The house had everything you could need, including beach towels and supplied drinking water.Nora was there to welcome us and show us around the property and kindly took us in to town to show us around. Both she and Colleen kept in contact with us to ensure everything was OK.We hired bikes which made getting around easy and fun. Lots to do including a Walking Food Tour, a Catamaran trip to Isla Mujeres, Snorkelling tours and of course Chichen Itza, the Cenotes and Valladolid.Managed to get picked up for trips by a hotel 5 minutes walk from house.Bars and Food a plenty, with favourite Beach Bar at Unico Beach and La Serina for bands and cocktails. Favourite restaurant La Choza for the fish.

Wonderfully unique house nicely appointed beautiful pool and ‘treehouse master bedroom’. Short bike (7 min) or walk (15-20) on beach to town house located just out of town in small neighborhood owners very attentive town of PM a bit busier than we remembered but still easily accessible
