Amenities include AC, cable, broadband internet, smart TV, fully equipped galley kitchen with a coffee maker and a Keurig, and a dining room table that seats 8. Easy access to large deck with additional dining furniture, gas grill and hot tub. Master suite is located on the main level with TV, private bath and deck access. The loft has 2 twin beds, a leather sofa, reading nook and great views. Downstairs has a den with a queen size sleeping sofa, TV with video, 2 bedrooms with queen beds, a shared bathroom, laundry room, a covered deck with spectacular views. (Winter visitors: 4 wheel drive or chains are highly recommended) The convenient location offers something for everyone. Some of the best day hiking in the Blue Ridge mountains are within 15 minutes. Hike to great views or waterfalls with swimming holes. For endurance hikers, the cabin is 1/2 mile off the Mountain to Sea Trail. For cyclists, the Blue Ridge Parkway is 1.7 miles away, but there are also many mountain bike trails. White water rafting is available nearby. The house is located on a rural, dead end, paved street that has very little traffic and is a great, safe environment for kids and pets. You are in the rural mountains, yet it is just a beautiful 15 minute drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway to the charming village of Blowing Rock. There you will find fine dining and great shopping. Or you may prefer the lively college town of Boone only 15 minutes away. Here you will find night-life and interesting, unique restaurants and shops.
