About this house rental
Situated in Roscoe, this attractive house for $350 per night is a great option for your next break. The cabin is located in the middle of a mountain,it has awesome views,a private spring fed trout stocked pond and only a few miles 3 from the beaver kill River. Only 10 minutes to both branches of the Delaware. Some of the best fly fishing this side of the Mississippi River. Only 10 minutes to Roscoe also known as trout town USA. 15 minutes to Livingston Manor. Roscoe is a quaint town with fly shops, breweries, antique shops and good bars and restraunts. Livingston Manor was named one of the best towns in the Catskills. A great Main Street with shops,dining,breweries. I'm also 10 miles to the pepacton reservoir, A crystal clear reservoir where there's some of the best brown trout and small mouth bass fishing anywhere. Boats can be rented at als sport shop in downsville for the reservoir or he rents canoes, so you can canoe down the pristine east branch of the Delaware he provides all equipment needed and travel after your trip. There’s great hiking trails a few minutes away from the cabin, also 2 lakes and a beautiful waterfall for you to explore. The cabin is 20 years old and decorated like a orvis endorsed lodge. walls and ceiling are pine tounge and groove kitchen is a open floor plan to living room and wood stove. There's 2 bedrooms with queen beds and a loft with a twin bed and a couch and tv for kids to play video games if there not to tired from all the outdoor activities. There a swing set and a slide on the property for the little ones and a huge fire pit that seats 12 with plenty of wood cut You will not find a more secluded place and tranquil place yet with convenience. The furniture is new and there’s a pull out couch in the great room. the ceilings are cathedral, a wall full of glass with great southern exsporure. The front door is a Pella slider that opens up to a huge deck with adirondack chairs and table for 4. By the pond there's a adirondack swing to relax and listen to the water flow into the pond from the natural spring. All appliances are new and the place is spotless . TV uses a Dish and has Hi speed WiFi in cabin. Lastly it have Air conditioning for those hot summer days.

Isolation at its best
We had an amazing trip in nature and exploring the property. The kids enjoyed the freedom, bonfires, stargazing and quiet nights. Perfect central area for exploring the towns and fishing.

Great spot for ultimaterelaxation
We stayed at Mike's cabin during the peak of fall colors in Sullivan County and it was beyond beautiful. We were attracted to the listed due to the privacy and the property delivered. It's quiet, secluded and everything you want in a retreat. The house was clean, stocked well for essentials and just as advertised. Mike was a great host as well, texting with recommendations, and answering all questions quickly and clearly. We hope to get back again, and again as this truly is a great location - close to lots of fishing, hiking and all the area has to offer, while giving you the quiet time you need to recharge.

We had another great weekend at Mike's cabin. It is so nice to check-out for awhile and recharge in the peaceful seclusion of this property. Weather has hit & miss this time, but it was still a great all-around trip. Look forward to heading back again in the future. Thanks again Mike!

The cabin would be good for any family but especially apt for fly fisherman as it is located very close to the great trout streams in the Catskills. And there is a pond full of lovely brookies. One caution you need an all wheel drive for the steep and rocky driveway.

Pleasant, quiet, secluded, surrounded by nothing but nature
This cabin is a perfect place to get away. It's super quiet and secluded, surrounded only by the woods and the mountains. Owner was helpful with lots of hints. (thanks!) Place is clean and comfy, with just enough rustic feel and lots of cool decor. You can be as active as you like; fish and hike, or take nice walks and enjoy the fire pit! There are regular chipmunk and tiny frog visitors, and one night we heard foxes in the woods. Dinner cooked nicely on the Weber grill. All four in our party really enjoyed our time and it was worth every penny.

A slice of heaven - very peaceful
There's something really special about this place. The road in is a little intimidating - but Mike gives sufficient advice about this. We got lucky with incredible weather - my son (6) got to practice his fishing technique in the pond, we sat for hours by the fire pit. The kids (3 and 6 yr old) exhausted their energy on the playground and exploring the surrounding woods. We all slept great every night. It was the perfect place to recharge and reconnect with nature.

Great getaway

Beautiful cabin in the woods!
We very much enjoyed our stay at this cabin on the side of a mountain in the woods! It was so peaceful; just what we were looking for. It was the perfect setting to sit back and relax.

My friends and I had a perfect weekend getaway from the city at Mike's cabin. As the other reviews rave, the cabin is a cozy, secluded haven and Mike is readily available to answer any questions and make sure you have a great stay. Oh and the scenery is astounding.

Beautiful Getaway
This beautiful cabin was the perfect getaway. It was clean and inviting, a cozy place to just relax and unwind. The host was excellent and very prompt with answering our question and providing suggestions for things to do in the area. The cabin decor was lovely. This property was great for staying in or reading a book on the open deck, looking out into the trees, the wildlife and connecting with nature. We loved the peaceful quietness of this place. The area also has outdoor fun to offer, we went for a hike nearby, where we enjoyed ponds and an amazing waterfall. The town has many other places to enjoy, plenty of dining options and we even picked up some delicious sweet corn on the side of the road, to BBQ back at the property!! On our last night thanks to all the thoughtful details and places to relax at the cabin, we sat by the adirondack chairs and gazed at the stars, it was stunning!! This place was a true gem.

Private cabin that exceeds expectations.
I can not say enough good things about this experience! I have rented many vacation homes and this host was, hands down, the best communicator; this property is well thought out and clean, and all of the local recommendations were spot on. I am already telling family and friends they need to go there for a getaway.

Perfect Socially Distant Getaway
It was such a gift to find Mike’s beautiful cabin surrounded by nature. We walked into a clean, welcoming place. The house smells great, and
everything is clean. If you have indoor allergies and asthma like me, this is a great choice. I felt right at home cooking and enjoying the nature. We made friends with an adorable chipmunk (named him Chips Ahoy) that lives in the rocks near the deck. We enjoyed watching him while we sat on the deck. If you need the solitude, you’ll find it here. I can’t recommend this property enough. Mike was so helpful, too. It’s wonderful to feel so well taken care of on your visit!

Great Weekend!
Had a great weekend at Mike's cabin with a few friends. We enjoyed the seclusion and the property (Love the cabin). Enjoyed some hikes around the area, and went into town to check it out. We all had a relaxing, fun trip- Looking forward to coming back again!

We spent a wonderful 3 days in Mike's cabin. The place is beautiful and the surroundings are just amazing. Mike is so kind, responsive, and just so caring. His cabin is clearly a work of love, you will have everything you need to connect with your loved ones and with nature. Highly recommend.

Seclusion Paradise
This is the place to go to if you need seclusion and privacy. Well organized property. Everything was thought about and well stocked too. Least response time i've seen in a homeaway owner. Ideal for couples. also there is a steep approach road to the property which needs an All wheel drive.

A Secluded Paradise
We had an amazing weekend. The property was absolutely beautiful and the cabin felt like home. If you need to get away for a few days and want to relax this is the place to be. I'd highly recommend it. Also, Mike was very responsive and friendly. He made the whole process a pleasure.

Amazing Property!
This cozy cabin is perfect for 4-6 adults or a family with kids. But the show-stopper is definitely the property. There are many different areas to enjoy, from the deck and the beautifully landscaped yard, to the trout pond and the scenic overlook. The cabin is well-stocked and will please laid-back travelers looking to enjoy the outdoors and relax by the campfire.

Secluded escape
This cozy, remote cabin far exceeded expectations. The natural wood walls/ceilings, large windows letting in the sun, wood-burning stove, and rustic decorations lent to the warm vibes. Mike was a welcoming and communicative host. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. Is it too soon to plan another trip back?
