The Yarra

Lovely property, thoughtful amenities, easy parking and wonderful host!

I cannot recommend The Yarra higher. Sonya and the property truly made me feel at home. The room was just gorgeous and the house so cozy. This is the quintessential Catskills B&B. If you are ever in the area, do yourself a favor and stay here.

The Yarra is a charming boutique hotel featuring a great elevated continental breakfast, complete with homemade egg croquettes, locally sourced bagels and pastries, fresh fruit, a variety of coffee and tea, juice, organic milk, and granola. While the bedroom was small, it was comfortable for a short stay. The bathroom was stocked with thoughtful personal accessories, including toothbrushes, shaving kits, deodorant and hair ties. Additionally, the location is very convenient and within walking distance of local eateries, a distillery, numerous shops and only about a 30-minute drive to the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts.

Bathroom amenities. Sufficient continental breakfast. Staff very pleasant.

For a B&B it lacks comfort. Bedrooms small. One uncomfortable chair, bathroom size of a broom closet. When Yarra has its dinner event it could be awkward for non-participating guests if you wanted to use the kitchen as you have to pass through the dining area.
