Ease of access to room - adjacent to bar through corridor and private external door to car park. Quietest room weve ever been in. (Sunday night). Dark thanks to blinds and curtain. Morning cooked breakfast great value and easy buffet format. Mini choc Danish a big hit. Car parking layout and size on perimeter of Amble massive bonus when town centre crowded with market visitors.

Low level of lighting in room generally, lack of central ceiling fixture and oddly confusing location of switches for bathroom etc was an irritant. We left behind a large throw on the bed due to poor light level as we left.

We like the Amble Inn enough to stay here again after a similar visit last year. However breakfast was a little disappointing eg eggs were only available fried and the food was often cold. We did not find the staff very friendly, apart from the check in people. This compares unfavourably with a cruise where the staff go out of their way to be pleasant to guests.
