Beautiful room and grounds, staff and food

The breakfast was really good. The serving staff was friendly and helpful. We had 3 meals there all in all. The quality of the food was way above average. The ocean front restaurant is really the best part of the hotel. Quiet, peaceful, and romantic.
The room we got for the price was well appointed. However, it was upstairs in the back part of the location and a bit of a climb if you have a bad back or carrying luggage. Also the room itself was EXCEEDINGLY small. It had nice AC for sure, but no view. It was a bit overvalued for the price we paid.

We feel uncomfortable because the water on the floor doesn”t sink in the designated floor drain.

The staff are very nice
The resort is in need of some attention. The rooms are tired. The owner is gruff and unapproachable. The food was bland and uninspired. You cannot swim at the beach. The pool was so over chlorinated we would not use it.
