The standout feature of this hotel is undoubtedly its location within the town. Being so centrally situated made it easy to access key attractions and local amenities, which added great convenience to the stay. Additionally, the views from the property were truly worthwhile, offering a pleasant and memorable backdrop that enhanced the overall experience. These aspects alone provide a strong foundation for the hotel’s appeal.

While the hotel has a recognizable brand name, there are several areas where it falls short of expectations. The reservation team, at times, seemed to push policies that are questionable from a legal standpoint, and it took clear and firm communication to ensure they complied with the law. This is a serious concern that needs immediate attention to avoid putting guests in uncomfortable positions. Customer service also leaves much to be desired. Orders were mixed up more than once, indicating a lack of proper training and attention to detail. It’s frustrating when what you request isn’t what you receive, and this kind of service disrupts the overall experience. The poolside furniture is another point of disappointment. Several pieces were visibly damaged and neglected, which not only affects comfort but also safety. It’s surprising that such issues have gone unnoticed or unattended by management. Also I liked less about this town experience was the safety situation in the surrounding area, particularly on the tourism side. After leaving the castle, we were confronted by six men on our tuk-tuks who surrounded our us and demanded money. This led to an argument with our driver. As a British woman, I had to firmly step in and make it clear that this behavior was unacceptable before they finally moved on. I expected a higher level of safety and security in this area, especially given its popularity with tourists. It's something potential visitors should be aware of and where local authorities could certainly improve. Overall, the property shows its age and appears to be in urgent need of maintenance and upgrades. The location alone does not justify the current price point, especially when the software and other guest services fall short. At this stage, the hotel feels like it’s relying solely on its name rather than delivering the quality that name should represent. Without substantial improvements, this could do more harm than good to the brand’s reputation.
