The hotel was, but not what you could expect in Europe. The staff, I think the receptionist was called Fred, was really nice. It was definitely one of the better places we have stayed in during out trip, but it did not stand out anyhow. The breakfast was very typical with plain white toast, egg, jam, butter (but it's really margarine), but you could also order Dahl.
The beach was not really that close as advertised, out balcony was right behind our bed, so couldn't be opened, and it was also very dirty. The rest of the room was clean.
What we really didn't like was, that we ordered dinner for 7pm, and it came around 8pm. The English proficiency of the employees also isn't as good.

Just the swimming pool
We were very dissatisfied with the accommodation. When we arrived in the ground floor room, mosquitoes were swarming through the bathroom window, numbering 200 or more. The window couldn't be closed, and there were no window screens. We plugged the opening with toilet paper. The smell in the bathroom, likely from the sewage, was so bad that we kept the bathroom door closed and struggled to use the toilet. We showered outside at the pool shower. Even worse smell came from the shared kitchen in the ground floor lobby. We held our breath on the way from the room to the exit. The shared kitchen was unusable due to the smell and neglect, forcing us to almost vomit. The hotel was poorly occupied, and the staff had plenty of free time to deal with the smell in the bathrooms and kitchen. They requested that we specify the desired mealtime for breakfast, which they never followed. On the last day, we missed breakfast because we were in a hurry. At the agreed time, they still hadn't started preparing breakfast. We stayed there for 3 nights, and the rooms were never cleaned. In the end, we had a pile of trash. They didn't provide toilet paper, and towels were never changed. The only bright spot of the accommodation was the outdoor pool, which was well-maintained. We advise avoiding this location.

Good hotel with swimming pool, close to beach. Restaurant was good with break fast, tea and coffee options. Very peaceful area. Staff were good.
Need to pay for breakfast. Anyhow we had breakfast outside.

It's was just awesome.it was was very cleaned and absolutely perfect to stay.the staffs are very friendly and very comfortable.swimming pool is very good and it's a wonderful experience in the pool.we had dinner at the roof top ,it was fantastic.

Very good experience that I have ever had. Wonderful place to stay. I had a great time in this hotel and staffs are very friendly. Very clean and pleasure. Restaurant foods are very taste and clean.
It's just 1km from town. Pool is beautiful and very good to have time in it. Arrangements they made it's wonderful. Thank you everyone.

Beddengoed met vlekken, veel mieren en ander ongedierte. Badkamer ook vies, doucheputje en wastafel putje stonken.
Beddengoed tevens niet compleet. Omdat het personeel s’avonds laat niet te vinden was, hebben wij uit een andere kamer waarvan de deur wagenwijd openstond, een laken gepakt.

Not much really.
The rooms are tired, the bathroom is dirty, bedding was stained and had holes in. It seems like the place used to be great, but has been left for too long without being maintained. Too expensive for the quality of the room!

The pool was great and you had view to the beach. You could buy some water and beer.
For the price, we expected better. The shower smelled and the nearest beach was also kinda dirty and smelly. “Beachfront” is also a rather optimistic description, as you have to walk 300-400m on the road to actually get to the beach.

Die Lage des Hotels ist zentral und nah am Strand. Zudem gibt es eine dachterasse. Das personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Die Ausstattung war eher simple. Außerdem gab es viele Ameisen im Zimmer

Staff was pretty friendly, gave us blankets because we didnt have any.
From 11:00pm to 1:00am they played very loud music in the hotel and people were loud without thinking that people want to sleep. The beach is also not nice, lots of trash everywhere.

Уютный небольшой отель в 100 метрах от океана. Здание трехэтажное. Очень удобно что можно оплатить картой без дополнительной комиссии. Есть закрытая бесплатная парковка на территории. Можно заселиться поздно без проблем. Сами комнаты со свежим ремонтом, менеджер и руководитель отеля вежливые хорошие ребята. Мы застали процесс строительства бассейна, возможно он скоро станет доступен тут.
Wi-Fi слабоват, не смотря на то, что точки есть на каждом этаже. На общей кухне грязновато.

The owner and his team are making good efforts and constantly improving the hotel - now building a swimming pool. He is also ready to organize things and has a customer oriented approach. Overall a positive experience, good value for money.
The adjacent partner mini restaurant is a no go, the food was not edible. Problem with beach access, just about 50 meters but problematic through adjacent hotel - hope this will be resolved as promised. Kitchens are practical but could be cleaner. Laundry service was nice but several pieces got damaged.

The location was goood.
The whole room wasn't cleaned before I entered.
The toilet seat had urine all over it.
The bathroom and the room floor was disgusting
The sheets on the bed had, what looked like period blood and other stains on it.
After telling staff, they didn't even offer to change rooms or the sheet, he just tried to cover it with another sheet. I had to ask for the whole bed to be changed. To which they didn't have enough sheets for.

Value for money, the hotel is great. Rooms are clean and organized, staff is incredibly helpful and attentive, it is well located with sea views and the restaurant is great. Would definitely recommend.
Although very close to the beach, this particular part of the beach is a fisherman's beach, so it is full of boats, not exactly the best part to hang out. Just something to keep in mind, but overall great.

There were no cups and saucers in the room as well as no heaters tea bags, coffee bags, or anything in the room. There were cups in the kitchen area but I think the norm is to have them ready in the room. But the kitchen has a gas cooker so you can cook pretty much anything there. Initially, I was not provided with the blankets, but once I asked the manager he provided those immediately without hesitance. The checkout time being 10 am is way too early IMO. Since it comes at low cost, I believe value for money is good. Regarding the staff, they were really helpful including the manager. I did not like the food there as well.

The staff is absolutely wonderful, helped me with arranging everything. Their restaurant is very good, the value for money is excellent in general, and the hotel is very clean.
It is next to the beach, but just be cognizant that it is a fisher’s beach, so it gets crowded by boats. But other beaches are very close by.

Except the staff, there aren’t any that we can say good about this place
Facilities- hired 3 rooms. Room 101 leaking shower hose therefore not enough water pressure, toilet cubicle flush did not work at all. Used the bidet to flush the waste. One double bed bendy. So many spiderwebs underneath the bed.
Room 102, toilet cubicle was leaking when trying to flush. Nightmare scenario. Shower was not functioning properly, not enough water pressure. Uninvited guests (cockroaches) were found behind the cabinet.
Room 103, this room didn’t have many problems except for the two cockroaches that were found and the lack of cleaning.
Ground floor kitchen was awful. Used mop bucket of water was kept in there for 2 days. Cabinet doors were dirty.
None of the washrooms have any electrical ventilation or proper functioning windows (2 of the rooms’ window handles were broken)

Once we were given top bedding, towels, toilet roll and soap which we had to ask for, the rooms were comfy. There was a communal kitchen which was handy at times.
It is NOT beachfront. We felt jibbed when we arrived. Dont say its beachfront and show pictures of it being beachfront if its not. Say its 100 metres from the beach.

Very kind people who work there. Great location and we got to see the whales and dolphins. And we got the tip to go to the restaurant Fernandos which we highly recommend.
The boat trip to see the whales was nice but we were seated in front of the boat and the captain drove so fast every time the boat went up and down hitting the water it nearly broke my back. There is to me absolutely no reason to go so uncomfortably fast! So it was epic to see the whales and dolphins but this made the boat trip a little less nice and I can still feel my back and ass.

Thank you for the great experience in your resort. We enjoyed it much. We stayed for a week. The manager was very great and always offered a great Service to US. All people were so friendly and wanted to make us happy. Best pine Apple Juice in the Area.

Beds were ok, location was ok.
The bathroom smelled very bad, outside was very dirty, the kitchen was teribly dirty. We ordered breakfast at 7:15, but we waited until 8 in the morning, so we were late for our arranged trip. It is not worth of that money. The pfhotos on booking.com are way more beautiful then reality was.

Location was a little remote. The immediate beach is only really used by fishermen. We found it best to get a tuk tuk (500lkr) to uppavelli beach where it was livelier with nice restaurants.
