About this house rental
Nestled in East Ridge, this charming house for $193 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. This house, just build in 2017, has all the amenities! There is a 2 dog limit. My insurance will not allow pit bulls, chows, or dobermans, or any of these mixed breeds. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms with granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances. It has a laundry room. The hall bath has a tub/shower combo. Tile floors throughout. A romantic fireplace is in the living room. Smoking is allowed on the huge front porch, where you can relax and let your worries float away! Behind the house there is a fire pit, too. The Battle of Missionary Ridge was fought on these grounds. I have found bullets, cannon balls, and shot while digging in the flower beds. I live across the street and the garden is located behind the "eyeball" wall. It is on old 3 tiered garden with 2 ponds. Sit on the bench and listen to the Mermaid fountain splash as the goldfish swim leisurely about. The birds will help you leave your troubles behind or swing and just remember times gone by. You will enjoy fabulous views of downtown and watch the sunset behind Lookout Mountain. There is a 2 dog limit with a FENCED IN BACK YARD. There are 2 other short term rentals on the same block, Gray Gables and Ridgedale Roost, if you need multiple houses for big events. Come and see the flowering bulbs in the spring! I can not offer a military discount.

We booked this house for a family of 8 (3 generations) to stay in while going to Ruby Falls and the Tennessee Aquarium/IMAX theater. It was perfect. It was close to both attractions. The house was clean, cozy, warm, had plenty of towels, and the kitchen was well-stocked. There were toys for the littles that they really enjoyed plus games, puzzles (we only got 1 500-pc one done!) and books for eveyone else. It even snow showered this morning before we left!

We traveled with a party of 8 and a small dog, and the house was perfect! Had everything needed and even had board games! Perfect communication with owner, check in and out process was a breeze!! I would definitely rent again!

We really enjoyed our stay! The location is convenient to everything we were doing that weekend with just 8-15 minute drives. It's on a quiet street. The houses around it are newly updated and the area feels safe. The owner lives across the street and took a minute to chat with us as we were leaving one morning. The inside of the house is decorated well with modern fixtures and amenities. The rooms are a good size so everyone had room to spread out and get comfortable. Our stay was right before Christmas and the Christmas decorations gave it a nice ambience. We cooked 2 meals and had everything we needed on hand. We didn't bring our dogs with us but liked that it was set up for those that bring their furbabies. This is on our list of places to stay when we visit our son and his new wife in Chattanooga. Highly recommend!

This place is adorable. The host greeted us as we pulled up and was there to answer any questions. She has everything you could imagine needing in the house. The furnishings were comfortable. The location was close to everything we wanted to do. We were only there two nights but would have enjoyed much more time there.

We stayed at Kathy's Kottage for 3 weeks for our "live like locals" trip to Chattanooga. We couldn't have been happier with our choice of accommodations. The location is close to everything you want or need. We especially loved being near the Southside historic district. The home is comfortably furnished, thoughtfully decorated, and fully equipped for all your needs (not to mention, meticulously cleaned upon our arrival!). We enjoyed sitting on the front porch taking in the view of the mountains and the lush greenery on this pretty street. We also made use of the grill on the side deck, and our dogs loved running around the fenced back yard. An unexpected surprise was being able to wander around Tammy's beautiful property right across the street. I highly recommend Kathy's Kottage for your visit to Chattanooga!

The property is so close to everything there is to do in Chattanooga. I think the farthest we traveled was 15 miles away and that was Lookout Mountain. The house was spotless, roomy, and oh so cozy! They offer games and a beautiful garden to walk through. If you have kids, there is a playground across the street. The house is equipped with everything you need for the stay. We will definitely be back, it was so good for our souls! Thank you so much Tammy for allowing us to stay at your beautiful house, we loved every single minute!!!!

Two couples stayed at Tammy's place while visiting the sights. Great location - central to everything. House is five years old, well built, well maintained, decorated to the nines. We really enjoyed the front porch and touring Tammy's garden. Would not hesitate to book one of her properties again.

We absolutely loved our stay in Chattanooga. Tammy is a wonderful hostess. The house is in a perfect location. My four kids and I had a great time. There were a ton of games to play inside and out! I give this two thumbs up and would love to go back.

We booked Kathy’s Kottage for my sister’s bachelorette trip. We all loved the layout of the house and had plenty of room for all 7 girls. There was lots of essentials available for use. We were also close to anything downtown. Everywhere we went was about a 10 minute drive.

We had a fantastic time, the unit was very clean and fully stocked. Excellent host. It was perfect location for our trip. Nothing was very far to get to. Such a great relaxing place to just unwind with family. Loved our stay and will definitely be a frequent guest.

We were so surprised with the beautiful Christmas lights when we pulled up to the house. It's so lovely both inside and out, but Tammy really goes the extra mile with little touches to make it feel very warm and homey. We loved the layout of the house too! It flows really well and the front porch is awesome and we spent a great deal of time there (thanks to a warm New Year's weekend). We brought our dog too and he enjoyed the back fenced-in yard. We visited Lookout Mountain and learned a lot of history. In December and January, the Hiwassee Wildlife Refuge hosts flocks of Sandhill Cranes. It's worth the trip about an hour north. Be sure to go near sunset to see the birds flying back for the evening. The one place we ate out was lunch at the burger bar on the old riverboat. Excellent burgers and fries and gorgeous views of the river! Be prepared at the house for visits each morning from the guinea hens. They are so beautiful They strayed into the backyard when our dog was there one time and barely escaped. LOL We chatted with Tammy and her cute little furball pup one morning as well. She is very nice and accessible across the street if you need her. The only negative is the interstate just above the house which made it noisy at times, but it was still very peaceful otherwise. The neighborhood is in an area where a lot of refurbishing is happening, but the block where the house is located at along with the other properties is very nice and you feel like you are way out in a subburb. Our dog is very skittish of noises and motorcycle and truck noises scare him, so we didn't always get as much time out of him in the yard as we'd like. It was also NYE and fireworks in TN are legal, so it's crazy and really cool seeing all the fireworks going off all over the town below. We put our dog in a thundershirt in a room and cranked up the YouTube Ocean noises and he crashed out while we went outside and watched the fireworks. If you are looking for a place that's comfortable and feels like home and are good with a little noise from the highway from time to time, this is perfect for you. We would definitely stay here again!
