Perfect comfy base to explore the remote trails and beaches of Donegal

Perfect location near the beach and a short walk to local village pubs and restaurants. The decor is modern with some lovely touches with tasteful artwork and comfy throws. Some fresh cakes, coffee and milk were available on our arrival, a very nice touch that was much appreciated after a long drive. Check in and check out were seamless. We will definitely return as we loved all the outdoor walks and isolated beaches in the area, some nice pints in the local too!

Absolutely fabulous few days staying at The Anchor in Dunfanaghy! Perfect location !

Check in was 3pm but Aine went out of her way to meet us and accommodate an earlier check in! And help us organise taxis and choose restaurants ! It was a lovely touch providing us with fresh milk coffee and cakes on arrival.The house is absolutely spotless ! Kitchen is well stocked with everything you need..including teas, coffee, spices and all washing up and cleaning products !! Everything is very modern and comfortable..a home form home with everything you need . Our stay was too short and we will definitely be returning!

Loved the friendly welcome. The cupcakes & coffee were such a lovely touch

Everything was fantastic Only a very very minor point- Maybe some pegs to keep the washing on the clothes airer would be a handy addition.

The house was immaculate throughout and had everything we could have wanted. Perfect location for walks, hikes, food and drinks. The host was extremely helpful and informative.

Like staying in your own place

The house is really close to the town center and it is fully equipped, with all appliances new. It was like living in your own place. Aine welcomed us with some treats to celebrate the big day of Ireland, making here available before the arrival time due to the parade. House really clean and cosy, with some areas to relax and with DVDs and games to make your stay even more comfortable. We will come back and I cannot recommend it enough. Perfect stay.

Perfect location & a beautiful, comfortable house with everything we needed for a family stay.

Aine & Gerard are super hosts. They have thought of everything. The house is so comfortable & tastefully decorated & in a perfect location - just a few minutes walk to the centre of Dunfanaghy & also a few minutes from Killahoey beach. There is a lovely outdoor seating area & plenty of space for parking. The house is spacious but cosy & perfect for families. The kitchen is so well equipped & Sky tv was an added bonus. There is also a real fire - perfect for chilly evenings. We will definitely be back!

Great property which was exactly what we needed for our golfing weekend in Donegal. Great location only 1 min walk to Dunfanaghy Main Street. Was well presented and had everything that we needed. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Fantastic stay

Returned once more to this property due to its location and wonderfully maintained facilities. Lovely owners who are happy to help with any requests and provide lots of local knowledge on what to do and where to go.

Great location. The house was spotlessly clean and modern and had everything we needed.

The house is semi-detached. During our stay works were being carried out to the adjoining house which were noisy and disruptive. We were not advised that there could be disturbance during our stay. The walls appear to be thin between both houses and when the adjoining house is occupied noise will carry through to the Anchor.

Loved the Anchor, it was 100 per cent perfect

Loved the welcome bits, proving us with milk and treats and everything else to keep us going, location fantastic near everything, so clean. The decor was on a sea theme, so tastefully done I loved it, the 4 of us felt so comfortable and relaxed, we all felt sad leaving, a nice sitting area out the back to have a bbq, plenty of parking . I would definitely recommend this beautiful house, felt so at home and so welcoming.

Loved everything, perfect 100 per cent.
