The host was super friendly and made me feel very welcome. She was always happy to help and made my stay so much easier. One morning I had to leave very early for a tour, and since it was difficult to get a taxi, she kindly drove me there herself. Later that afternoon, she picked me up again and even helped organize my transport to the other side of the island. I really appreciated all her help ☺️
On my first day, she also brought me some leftover food, which was such a thoughtful gesture after a long day of traveling.
The location was great as well. From the terrace, you have a beautiful view of the ocean, and it’s very close to Le Morne, which is perfect if you want to do the hike or spend some time at the beach.

Die Unterkunft hat meine Erwartungen mehr als erfüllt, sehr empfehlenswert! Grosszügige Räume, bequeme Betten, große Terrasse und Balkon. Gerade vor dem Haus ennet der Strasse eine grosse Wiese mit Bäumen gleich am Strand. Das Meer ist flach, aber man kann Schwimmen. Die Familie war ausserordentlich herzlich unnd hilfsbereit. Ich konnte feines Essen bekommen und einen Kaffee am Morgen.Sooreka und Hansica fuhren mich auf Wunsch, wohin ich wollte,, zum nahen Strand, zum Einkaufen oder zu entfernteren Ausflugszielen. Was ich besonders geschätzt habe: etwas Hindukultur zu erleben und indische Ambiance geniessen zu dürfen - einmalig! Eiin paar Hähne und Hunde tragen zur athentischen Atmosphäre bei und haben mich nicht gestört. Nachts ein ruhiger Ort, da kein Verkehr mehr stattfindet.
Herzlichen Dank, ich wäre gerne länger geblieben!

Shared kitchen had good facilities.
Air conditioning didn't work, only blew out hot air. Balconies were shared, which wasn't obvious from the description/pictures. Le Morne itself was not a great location in comparison to other parts of Mauritius. No restaurants or bars in the immediate vicinity and we witnessed a street brawl, including a large bin being thrown, on our last night there.
