Great location for Northleach and the surrounding area.
Not entirely sure Idyllic is the right description for this one and quite expensive for a solo traveller. But I guess everywhere is expensive in the Cotswolds now.

Location, compared to the larger villages and in the Cotswolds, Northleach was more peaceful in terms of crowds.
If you’re a light sleeper the church bells sound as a clock and will ring through the night.
Door lock was a pain to use, the door seems to need fitting and the mechanism needs lubrication. It would be nice if there were instructions how to lock/unlock the door. My son called me in exasperation that he could not figure out the door- it took me a while to figure it out.
We stayed when there was an unseasonable heatwave. There are no fans in the property to provide a modicum of relief. The temperature was stifling inside. I laid a blanket on the bottom floor and rested there as it was the coolest part of the house.

The layout was perfect for our needs.
Only one minor issue which was working out how the shower worked but once done we were good to go.
