This was a family holiday for 8 people. We arrived far to early for check in. Faro airport was back to normal We sailed through. We emailed the day before to ask if we could leave cases at the villa and then wait around by the beach for four hours until the villa was ready. When we arrived at 10.30, the wonderful housekeeper came out to greet us and told us we were welcome to come in as they were just finishing off. The villa was lovely had everything we needed. The supermarket was a five minute walk away and the beach was a 12 minute walk away.(the sea was quite rocky and gritty but lovely. We went with three teenages and a 8 and 7 year old. There wasn't a lot to do for the teenages so we got taxis to the main strip in Prairie d Oura. Taxis are very reasonable priced. The little ones loved the Villa pool. The sun was on the pool all day so it was warm.
My daughter and I could have stayed for a month it was so relaxing. We didn't eat out but ordered a few takeaways. ( Download the Uber app to order taxis and food) Internet was great. It was 37 38 degrees whilst we were there the Aircon was excellent.
Nothing. We didn't miss the car, but if your not into walking then a car is advisable
