Our recent stay was an exceptional experience. My husband and I live in a hectic area just outside of New York City, and we were in desperate need of a peaceful escape from the daily hustle and bustle. This cabin provided us with the serenity we craved, and more. First and foremost, the view and the grounds surrounding the cabin were breathtaking. We couldn't have asked for a more picturesque setting to unwind. The natural beauty of the area, combined with the cozy cabin, created a perfect retreat. The cabin itself was well-equipped with everything we could possibly need. It was meticulously clean and well-maintained, making us feel right at home. We truly appreciated the attention to detail in ensuring that the cabin was in top-notch condition for our stay. Shasta was incredibly responsive and helpful with any questions we had. Her assistance made our stay even more enjoyable, and we felt well taken care of throughout our time at the cabin. One highlight of our stay was how it affected our two dogs. Typically, they are quite active and prone to barking at various noises. However, in this tranquil environment, they seemed to find their own peace. It was almost like a vacation for them as well, as they didn't have much to bark about, which is quite rare for our furry friends. In summary, this was was exactly what we needed. The serenity, the well-appointed cabin, the stunning views, and the exceptional grounds all combined to create a truly memorable getaway.

The Lincoln Cabin is the perfect place to retreat to when you are looking for peace and the beauty of nature. The lake welcomed us each morning for long swims and the sound of loons was the only thing we heard. It’s is a gem of a hideaway and a perfect place to recharge and spend time with family. The cabin has all the amenities you could want and we can’t wait to return another summer. We loved using the kayak and canoe and ending the day gathering around the fire pit. Thank you to our gracious host!

Everything about our stay was first class. The cabin was exceptionally clean, stylishly furnished, and super equipped with everything needed to relax and enjoy yourself at a lake, including kayaks, floating docks, fire pit, plus all the essentials (bedroom, kitchen and bathroom provisions, etc). The lake is a gem - big, scenic, idyllic, private, safe, with no motorboats allowed. It was the nicest lake cabin we've ever rented, perfect for a family getaway. Location-wise, the property is 10-15 minutes off the beaten path, similarly to everything in that area of Maine. This was an attraction for us. The property is 35-45 minutes away from Acadia National Park, depending on which side you choose to visit (the Schoodic Penisula side is closer and less crowded than the Bar Harbor side, so we went there twice). It was no big deal to drive to the Park, and along the way there are 5-10 lobster shacks for lunch or dinner. We flew in/out of Bangor, which was only an hour and 15 minutes away. Easy. Host communication - Shasta was the best ever. Got in touch as soon as I made the booking, send an overview of the property (which was entirely accurate), plus a list of cool things in the area. She checked in before we arrived and when we got there, and was very pleasant and communicative the whole time. The best VRBO experience yet. I'd give the property 10 stars if I could. Everything about it was perfect (and I am typically critical!). High recommend it to anyone.

Lovely cabin, well maintained. Close enough for day trips to Bar Harbor and Acadia but secluded enough for quiet lake days/nights. Owner gives you all the info you need for an enjoyable stay.

Despite the rain and chilly weather we made our trip enjoyable. Shasta is a great host and the cabin is lovely. Directions were great and everything we did was within 30-90 minutes away. Take your rain gear, hat and gloves just in case in early June. We look forward to doing again with better weather! Montgomery kids
