Topaz Lodge

Location is super as immediately adjacent to downtown. Interesting room geometry and the lock box is a great idea. It definitely shows its age but that makes it unique.

Double bed was fine; one single could be improved.

The location was great as it was an easy walk to Main Street restaurants, bars and shops. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was clean and spacious with a large shower. The mini fridge and microwave were handy as well. Access to the room was easy as well. There is no desk staff at this property. They text you a remote access code to your room before arrival. Also the bathroom towels were really nice. I’m always in awe of cheap, thin, minimal bathroom towels at higher priced properties. There were plenty of towels and they were substantial and awesome.

At first glance this place looks a bit scary- the parking area and outside of the building is in desperate need of a facelift. Just some new chairs and basic concrete rubble clean up and weed removal would give the parking lot new life and update the appearance of the front to not look so run down. Although clean the property had stained carpet, stains on the sheets and the mini fridge was pretty dirty.

We stayed for three nights and have everything we needed! The room was clean, bed was comfortable and there were plenty of towels and toiletries. The location is right on Main Street and easy to walk to all the shops and restaurants. The room had a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Tv had cable with plenty of channels, had to tune the tv channels real quick. Friendly employee was there when we arrived and he gave us some recommendations for lunch!

No iron or blow dryer in room.

Location, and the price point.

The room was really dated, carpet and walls need replaced and painted, the refrigerator barley worked, and the bathroom window was screwed shut, no ventilation. The room door did not seem secure.
