About this house rental
Nestled in Moreton Island, this lovely house for $323 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. Relax on the huge deck and enjoy the panoramic views over the Tangalooma Wrecks and the beautiful clear waters and white sandy beaches of Moreton Island from Brisbane to the Sunshine Coast. The house features - Spacious lounge, dining and stainless steel kitchen opening onto wide deck. Sleeping - Bedroom 1: king bed & ensuite with bay views Bedroom 2: king bed Bedroom 3: 4 singles Main bathroom and separate laundry facilities Large downstairs rumpus room with double sofa bed and separate toilet You can walk to the Resort using the bush steps opposite the house, drive down in your 4WD and park in the Southern Car Park or use our 4 seater golf buggy available for our house guests. Whichever say you go it only takes a few minutes to the beach. 4 seater golf buggy available for hire (conditions apply) and a security bond. Moreton Island and Tangalooma Wild Dolphin Resort Moreton Island is the 3rd largest sand island in the world and it is well worth exploring this unique and beautiful island by 4WD. Visit the Blue Lagoon, Champagne Pools, and Honeymoon Bay for a swim, the Desert for sand boarding and Cape Moreton to watch the turtles, dolphins and giant rays feeding in the shallows under the Cape and the whales passing by on their annual migration north in winter. Take your own picnic or drop into the infamous "Gutter Bar" (for drinkermen with a fishing problem!) for some fresh Moreton Bay oysters followed by a burger and a beer before heading off to find the Thong Tree. Micat has a great little shop at Bulwer which serves delicious meals. Don't miss the climb (medium grade) up Mt Tempest on a good day for unbelievable 360 degree views. Tangalooma Wild Dolphin Resort and all its facilities and activities are available for our guests such as pools, cafes, bars, water sports and quad bikes just to name a few. They also organise island tours, whale watching, snorkelling at the Wrecks, eco tours and of course the famous dolphin feeding (available only on request and availability but guests can listen to the commentary and watch the feeding from the jetty just a few meters away and absolutely free). Getting Here Being an island the only way to get here is by boat which takes just over an hour. WITHOUT 4WD Tangalooma passenger jets run from Pinkenba to Moreton Island several times a day and you can book through the resort website. Once you arrive at the Resort a taxi takes you and your luggage to the house only a few minutes away. BY 4WD Being a sand island with sand tracks instead of bitumen, the only way round is by 4WD. The MICAT is the only vehicle ferry that goes to Moreton and so it is important to book early in peak times. It departs from the Port of Brisbane at Lytton and drops you off at the Tangalooma Wrecks and then it is a 15 minute scenic drive through the middle of the island to get to the house. Helen was an excellent host!! Thank goodness for the buggy!! The only thing was the house is very hot as the windows had no screens and with the ceiling height - you don’t get a huge benefit from the fans. Other than that - it was perfect!!

Beautiful home well stocked, magnificent view , 200 steps to beach but can use owners golf buggy, which only takes four people. We were 10 in the four bedroom house, very comfortable.

What a great little beach house. Really close to the beach and the Tangalooma Resort. It’s really well equipped, has lots of space for a family. The golf buggy was such a great addition as the stairs are a bit challenging.

Glorious home with full elevated views from open air balcony of crystal clear blue water and Tangalooma wrecks and beaches. Use of golf buggy for elderly mum to visit the resort was welcome. Highly recommend.

We've stayed at Tangalooma over 10 times, however this was our first time in a house on the hill above the resort and Blue Moon did not disappoint.
We had a relaxing and really enjoyed time with our family. Blue Moon is extremely well equipped and offers spacious open plan living, with amazing views.
Helen & Philippe have a fabulous property and were fantastic hosts.
We'll definitely be back!

We had a really lovely stay over the New Year period.
House was fantastic and catered very well for all of our needs - the little touches were greatly appreciated (various pantry items - milk in the fridge etc).
The steps down to the resort are steep but the kids managed them. We were a bit disappointed with the resorts lack of offerings for NYE but that doesn’t reflect at all upon the house.
House was a fantastic location. We would love to be back one day!

Bluemoon was the perfect Christmas getaway for our family. The view from the balcony and open plan kitchen are breathtaking. Host ensure no detail is forgotten even providing access to their boards for sand boarding and setting us a Xmas tree! Everything was very clean and welcoming. If your a larger family who intend to spend time at the pools or resort in front of the beach, hire a second buggy. The stairs are a killer but the views are worth it.

Stunning house with spectacular views. This really was a home away from home. You needed to bringing only beach towels and food, everything else was provided for our week stay. The house is huge and there was plenty of space for everyone. Would recommend.

The house was spotless ,plenty of rooms, didnt really need to bring much at all house was equipped pretty much with everything.
The add says a pizza oven but i didnt see ine there. Other than that i absolutely loved this place the view was amazing. We will definitely be back !!!
