About this house rental

Nestled in Camano Island, this charming house for $490 per night is a great option for your next trip. The look and feel of Southern Hospitality in the Pacific Northwest. The home is on 5 private territorial view acres with The Hen Haven Country Cottage available as well. Can combine or utilize separately. If cottage and home are rented together the capacity is 10 and perhaps a youth or child at cottage too. If you want to have both houses simply search VRBO for the Hen Haven Country Cottage, it will pop right up and you can check rates and availability there. There is certainly the possibility that the cottage will be occupied during stay if you do not book both (it is about 50 yards away and has a separate driveway). Goats, pigs, ducks, a goose & chickens to feed! The home is best suited for 6 adults and youth. Although the beds accommodate 8 adults. There are three queen beds and two twin beds. There is a ping pong table, volleyball, farm animals, quit trees, and a fire pit. Please just mention in contact if you are interested in the cottage as well. Both houses are entered via keypads. Checkin 4PM and Checkout 11AM.

Josh was most helpful and welcoming. The kitchen was large and well stocked. The furnishings were gorgeous. We enjoyed sitting outside surrounded by large trees. Perfect for families with four bedrooms, formal dining room, and upstairs game/TV room. I highly recommend and Whitbey Island is such a relaxing place.

A truly stunning, home, infused with warmth throughout. From the mounds of sweet smelling lavender, to the crows at dawn by a proud rooster! A music collection textured with sounds of yesteryears crawl up the skyward ceilings, filling this sun soaked home. This sparwling 6,000 sqft Georgian style home can accommodate the whole family, with tons of games, table tennis, or volleyball spread across nearly 3 acres of clear land surrounded by a curtain of privacy. A peaceful retreat, a needed respite for me and my family.

The property was beautiful and unique. The owners pay attention to detail in every room. Beautiful fireplaces, artwork, furnishings and wallpaper. My children said it was like staying in a mansion. My family also enjoyed the pigs, goats, and chickens on the property. We stayed during a huge snowstorm and needed assistance with some utilities. The owner responded right away and resolved the issue. Highly recommend this rental.

This house is a dream. The decor is beautiful. The amenities are everything anyone could ever dream of. The two fireplaces really helped to set the winter coziness mood. The big kitchen island was perfect for cooking family meals. The best of all were the farm animals. They were so well loved and cared for. Baby piglets! We've stayed in many VRBO properties and this was by far the families favorite. Thank you so much for a wonderfully perfect stay.

The owner cancelled our stay 15 mins after check in time. We were already On the island after taking a ferry. Ruined our family birthday weekend away. Terrible experience.

The photographs do not do the home justice. Fabulously decorated, with a lot of space for everyone. Greatly appreciated the master on the main level. My grandson (just over 2 years old) loved the ducks, pigs, and especially the goats!! An added bonus a Mom and Baby Deer on the property one morning. Very closed to downtown Langley and Freeland where we had an event to attend. Super quiet and great outdoor spaces as well.

I knew some members of our party were hesitant about our weekend in Whidbey plans. All doubts faded away after we pulled up the tree-lined gravel driveway and the beautiful Hen Haven was revealed. It was even better as we entered the house. I set to work in the kitchen while everyone else explored the house and picked bedrooms. All I heard were “ohhhs” and “ahhhs” while I was happily prepping dinner in the well appointed kitchen. We enjoyed coffee on the back patio in the morning, sipping wine on the front porch in the evening, and exploring the island in the hours in between. My dad, a farmer for his first 50 years, particularly loved the animals. Checking on the chickens, pigs, geese and goats every morning made him light up. I wouldn’t be surprised if our stay inspired a new project for my parents! Our hosts, Josh and Laura, were super responsive to a couple of requests and exchanges. What a treat this stay was. We’re grateful for a place that we were all able to gather together. This was the perfect destination for what we were hoping to accomplish, a special weekend away with family and friends.
