About this chalet rental

Located in Hayle, this charming chalet for $157 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. A beauitful beach chalet right on the coast at beautiful Riviere Towans on St Ives Bay, on the dramatic North coast of Cornwall. Originally built in the 1930s, the chalet has been carefully rebuilt and restored to retain all of its original wooden charm and more. The chalet can sleep up to four in a double room and bunk bedroom. Both bedrooms are furnished with comfortable duvets, bed-linen, plenty of pillows, and throws. We have stocked it with plenty of books for all ages as well as a few toys and games. The chalet has a lovely little patio at the back perfect for those sunny morning cuppa's and a quite read. With a large grass area great for the children to play. We love it there and hope you do to. Some comments from last years' guests... "....thank you for a truly fabulous experience, this was perfect for a family. The chalet is a dream to be in and the location is unbeatable. .... We have enjoyed and filled every moment, if we are not back in October..... we will be back next year!!" Zoe, Dom, Scarlet and Indie. "Thanks for creating such a perfect cornish hidaway.... We've had an epicurean adventure... we will be back!! Jeni, Shamus, Fraya and Dylan. Great for family holidays, situated in the sand dunes at Riviere Towans. Situated along the southern end of three miles of golden sands. Stretching from Virginia Woolf's famous lighthouse at Godrevy to the naturalists' haven of Hayle estuary. It has safe lifeguarded, swimming and surfing areas, tidal and rockpools, cliff-top coastal walks with stunning views and literally miles of golden sand – we think it's simply one of Cornwall's best beachs. It's also fantastic for serious windsurfer/surf breaks having a great break just out front in the right conditions. It makes a great out-of-season base for walking, fishing, seal-watching or simply regenerating. Set in a quiet picturesque cluster of chalets on the edge of the Towans its a great central spot. The beach 5mins away with a pub above the cliffs to watch those sun sets. Hayle has plenty of lovely shops to brouse, pubs and resturants, all easy to get to along the coast path. Or visit nearby St Ives, approx 20 minutes' away by car or from Hayle one of the best train rides you can do. St Ives with its narrow cobbled streets and funny names, shops, galleries, restaurants, harbour and beaches. Explore Lands End, Porthcurno and the Minack theatre, fishing villages and sandy coves; Falmouth the Helford River and its creeks, Eden, ... all this and more so easily accessible, north and south coast alike.

The house has been lovingly restored and is the perfect blend of "homely' and "beachy" for the relaxing holiday feeling by the sea. Really thoughtfully designed and has everything you need. The short stroll to the beach was a joy everyday as the views are breathtaking. Gorgeous sands and crystal clear ocean, what else could you ask for! Tamsyn was very responsive and helpful with any questions before and during our stay. The local area is lovely and Hayle has all the conveniences you could think of, we highly recommend this holiday home : )

Gorgeous little, nautical themed beach chalet - such a cheerful place to stay. It’s cosy and quaint, with good facilities for self catering. It was clean and welcoming and Tamsin is excellent at responding to messages quickly. We had a very happy time there (when we weren’t out and about exploring beautiful Cornwall!). It was always lovely to come home to our bright blue chalet everyday! We made good use of the kitchen and even had a rainy day game of Cluedo round the table together, which was provided in the games cupboard. The walk to the beach is easy and quick, bringing you out at the stunning Hayle estuary. The beach is ideal for young children as it has small areas of shallow water, that warms up nicely for a paddle and there’s a steep sand dune that provides a great sand toboggan run using a body board as a sledge! Great fun had by all!

We had a great week at the blue hut in Hayle. As I originally come from Carbis Bay I knew the area and was aware of how beautiful Hayle and the surrounding countryside is. It was a pleasure to find this wonderful little hut (which was perfect for my family and myself - Partner and 2 pre-teens). It was clean, well-equipped and in a perfect location: It is only 5 minutes walk to the beach. The interior is very tastefully put together, a nice blend of maritime and shabby-chic - but without being tacky or oldy-worldy. The kitchen appliances were perfect and we were able to store food for picnics and cook for ourselves if we so wished. However, there are plenty of good chippies, pubs and restaurants around (The Bluff Inn on the way to the beach is fine for a burger and beer). There is a large grass area 1 minute in front of the hut and we played there most evenings. The surf was good on the beach too! When it was cloudy we wore our wetsuits. The communication with Tamsin was great, she was very helpful and informative in preparing everything before our stay and made us feel at home. I can 100% recommend this place to anyone looking for an authentic stay in Cornwall. There are so many holiday home owners demanding 3000 Euros per week for a house and those people are denying local people from buying houses. So rent a holiday hut/chalet for the week, get down on the beach, see the sights you want to see and relax! Kernow bys vykken

A lovely property, quirky, quaint and homely 1940s feel (but with all the mod cons). The owner couldn't have been more helpful. Location was stunning, when it says minutes from the beach that's literally the truth .... and what a beach!

Had a lovely stay in this charming beach chalet at hayles towans. The hut had all the basics. Bathroom is compact but very usable. Everything you need is there and the 1930s furniture adds to its charm.

The beach hut is as wonderful as the Cornish scenery! It’s a perfect location for travelling around, but with the beach a stones throw away why would you want to leave? The property has everything that you will need for your stay. The host was delightful, and any correspondence was answered straightaway. Plus a chance encounter in porthleven harbour! Which is well worth checking out while there. The Sandy beach is amazing and the water crystal clear, with no pebbles much seaweed or litter in fact!
