Great central location in the heart of Raglan, also offering water sport hire facilities. The dorms and quarters are all dotted around a courtyard area which was cute. I didn’t really use the kitchens but they seemed well equipped with expected items. Rooms were super basic and had thin material coverings over the windows. Bunks didn’t have any privacy curtains etc. Plug in fan for space heating, thankfully wasn’t too cold but I did take a sleeping bag in with me.

I checked in after hours so no staff present, and not sure how secure I found the check in of leaving my name, keys and room number written on the entrance table - anyone could have walked in without verified ID - everything was unlocked around the property. Shower rooms were serviceable but a bit tired.

Great location and only a small walk away from everything in Raglan.

The property is small and a bit worn down. Staff weren’t really around much.
