Located in Soldotna, this attractive house for $842 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. If you are looking for a home for a group larger than 10, the city of Soldotna has passed an ordanince that, in city limits, we can no longer accommodate groups larger than 10 people. Located in the heart of Soldotna Alaska on the bank of the Kenai river. Sleeps 8 or more adults -Two master suites with baths, upstairs, Master 1 has a king size, pillow top mattress, and master two has a queen size pillow top mattress . Down stairs has two separate rooms with Queen beds and one shared bath. Home has all of the amenities needed, full kitchen, outdoor BBQ and laundry facilities. Enjoy the views of the river flowing past the house just feet away from the living room kitchen or the 1500 sq ft deck. Relax by the outdoor fire pit or enjoy your morning coffee under the covered deck as you take in the sights and sounds of the river. Watch eagles catch fish or perch on the trees in front of the house. Over 100' of private river front with 33' of fishing dock. Fish cleaning station is located right on the dock. The home was perfect for our group of 10. The home and property were well attended and we all felt comfortable there. An unusual storm blew in where 7-15 foot waves were predicted on the ocean, which kept us from going halibut fishing one day. During this storm, trees were blown down in Soldotna and surrounding area, leaving a large power outage. Our group is from Idaho and we could manage without electicity while wating for the power company to get to our area. Once the owner and his wife realized it was not going to be restored within the day, they came to the home we were renting immeidately. Putting a plan in action to make us as comfortable as possible. They brought a generator and extra necessitites. Within 24 hours the power was up and going. It was a delight to meet them. We will be going back to Alaska. Good times with friends and family....and fun fishing for Kings, silvers, halibut, rockfish, ect. One of the funnest trips we have ever taken.

This was by far our favorite place we stayed on our 10-day Alaskan adventure. The house was perfectly appointed and had everything plus more we needed. Our only negative is that we didn’t stay longer! The river was amazing, the Eagles were stunning. We will be back!

Wonderful stay
We had a great stay here. We loved being on the river. It's so peaceful and quiet. The owners are wonderful hosts. They made sure we had everything we needed. If we ever get a chance to come back we would love to stay here again.

So Relaxing and spacious!
We absolutely loved our stay at this property. Kevin was a great host and had terrific communication with us. The house was so roomy and so cozy. We enjoyed hanging out on the deck and near the river. We were close to restaurants, grocery stores and breweries. Great for families and we would love to stay here again!

Family Memories Made on the Kenai
What a wonderful stay our family party of six had at the Fraley’s home on the Kenai River. The home has a spacious, well-stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, a spacious family room, and large deck, with several areas to sit and enjoy the river view. We enjoyed the propane heater on the deck and the large, gas grill. The house is well-situated in a quiet neighborhood in Soldotna with easy access to stores and highways.
Our fishermen enjoyed fishing for salmon for the first time. They are skilled fishermen in the Midwest, but fishing for salmon was a challenge, if you follow the fishing regulations on limits and snagging fish. The dock area by the Kenai River is as described, including excellent railings up the steps from the river, but be aware that there are sixty, steep steps from the dock to the house. The kitchen and two main bedrooms and family room are all on one level which was very convenient for us. However, the main level is only accessible via the deck or through the downstairs level. This was difficult for one of our older family members.
Kevin communicated so well with us. He called us before our stay to make sure we understood how to get there and answered any questions we had about the home. Since we were arriving late into the evening, he even made sure that outside lights were left on, so we could locate the house easily. We appreciated the helpful hints and expectations he left in a binder at the house. No wonder the house is in such excellent shape. We appreciate the care that the Fraleys take to maintain such a gem on the Kenai!

This is by far one of the best VRBO rentals we have stayed at in the last several years. Immaculately clean and every area was stocked well with all necessary items. The location on the river was perfect with amazing views. I would highly recommend staying at this location. Communication with the owner was easy and fast.

The house was perfect for a family get together of 11. The house fit our every need. It was so beautiful to sit at the kitchen table and look out onto the river. The outside porch was great as well. We enjoyed the fire pit and the owners were so nice and helpful. We definitely recommend this house! Outstanding!!

Everything you could need
This place was amazing, the house had everything you could possibly need. The kitchen was far better stocked then most, it was very homey and comfortable. Lot's of inside space and the deck is just amazing, so many places to get comfortable and relax. And of course right on the beautiful Kenai, we really couldn't have asked for more!!

We got married here June 2021. The property is spacious, clean, beautiful, and the deck is a wonderful place for the family to hang out. Very nice view of the Kenia offered a great backdrop for our outdoor wedding on the deck. The owners are very easy to work with and accommodating.

Fantastic home on the Kenai!
Our family enjoyed a wonderful week on the Kenai River in this awesome home. The kitchen had everything we needed. The beds were super comfortable. We loved the extra master suite. The teens downstairs said this was the best vacation house ever! We were able to fish right off the dock till almost midnight, with plenty of freezer space to store all that we caught. We were right down the street from the grocery store and hardware/fishing supply store, yet we felt away from town and into the natural beauty. We would definitely recommend this beautiful home to anyone, and Jill and Kevin were great hosts.

Wonderful holiday stay!
This is our 4th time to Soldotna / Kenai and we thoroughly enjoyed Kevin and Jill’s house over the Thanksgiving holiday! The location on the river was beautiful, it is convenient to town and everything you need is within a 5 minute drive — which was important to us in case of bad weather. The house was super clean and had lots of supplies (kitchen spices, comfortable beds, modern amenities, etc...). Kevin was very attentive to our questions/needs. Very good WiFi, lots of TV channels, and quality family time sitting around the large kitchen table playing cards and games. Thank you, Kevin and Jill! It couldn’t have been a better holiday in your home away from our home! We’ll be back! And sometime we’d like to return in the summer so that we can use that amazing deck!

Amazing Property on the Kenai River
This property is a gem! Our annual fishing trip was interrupted by the Swan Lake Fire and were required to make some last minute changes to our regular plans. We were surprised to find this amazing property available on such short notice. The property location is breathtaking and the amazing back deck allows you to take in the gorgeous views day and night. The owners were very responsive to our initial request and we received great communication regarding the property particulars and their expectations during our stay. The house was extremely comfortable for our small group of 4 but could accommodate a much larger group for family gatherings. The cleanliness of the property was second to none. Should we ever need accommodations in the Soldotna/Kenai area in the future, this will be the place for us to stay!
