Nestled in Seneca Lake, this attractive house for $611 per night is a great option for your next trip. Why be near the water when you can be on the water?? Semi-secluded lake-level four bedroom retreat home located just ten steps to the water's edge. Located on the western shore of Seneca Lake just one mile (walking distance) north from the Village of Watkins Glen and just a short quarter-mile’s walk (north) to the Tiki Bar. Near public boat launches, Watkins Glen Gorge State Park, Watkins Glen International Speedway, the Finger Lakes National Forest, and many of the wineries of the Finger Lakes Wine Trail. Ideal setting for outdoor activities and all the Finger Lakes has to offer. Landlocked salmon and lake trout have been caught right off the dock! This three story year-round vacation home with private dock offers spectacular views of Seneca Lake from all rooms. This 2,400 square foot home easily sleeps 8 guests and can handle up to 10 total guests. There are two queen size beds, one full size bed, two twin beds, a two-person trundle bed and a pull-out couch. There is a full bath on each of the first two levels. This home is located on a well-maintained county road and offers off-street parking for four cars. The main level offers an expansive open concept living area with a fully equipped modern kitchen and panoramic lake views. This year-round home includes all modern amenities including washer, dryer, dishwasher, large screen TV, internet, wifi, air conditioning and a four bottle wine cooler. The home also includes a wood pellet stove, an outdoor gas grill (no tanks necessary), an outdoor fire-pit, an array of outdoor furniture for “over-the-water” dining on the dock and so much more. For train buffs, there is even an occasional slow moving real live freight train (usually with no more than 8 cars) that runs through the property at roughly 5 mph several times per week.

This property was just as the listing said. A couple of days before arriving we received a list of what to expect and what we had to do on leaving. Owner was a awesome host. We had no problems and enjoyed the few night's we had before the rain came in, sitting by the fire on the lake. Fished off the dock every morning before we left to head to the winerys. Parking was a little different butwe got use to it pretty easily. Very close to Watkins Glen, Seneca Harbor was in site to the south and the Salt plant to the north. Would definitely stay here agian.

Beautiful lake house with lots of amenities! Great view of the lake from every room and a lovely outdoor area. Really close to Watkins Glenn and so many of the Seneca Lake wineries/breweries/distilleries. Host was very attentive. Great property! ❤️

Had a terrific week at this roomy and clean lakeside cottage. Lots of toys (kayaks, paddle boat, etc) to keep the entire family entertained. Also within walking distance or bike ride to great restaurants, boat/jet ski rentals and state park with beautiful waterfalls.

We had a wonderful weekend at your rental. We were a group of 6 women celebrating our 60th birthdays. We enjoyed a walk around town, 2 wineries, a cruise around the lake, a few restaurants and the Windmill Craft Market. We got to enjoy multiple sunrises and a beautiful sunset. We hiked the state park and got to see several waterfalls. I absolutely recommend this place and I would stay here again.

Unfortunately our 3 night stay was cut short due to illness, but I was impressed by the communication with the owner and also that everything was very well described and laid out in detail. Great place! Not for the infirm, lots of steps. :)

The location is amazing, with 270 degree views of the water (to include an infinity view when looking north). The house has everything needed to be comfortable and entertained. We stayed over Thanksgiving and hope to visit again.

This house seemed to have everything we wanted (location on the lake, several full bathrooms, close to town, comfortable indoor space) and it did not disappoint. There was frequent communication from Tom leading up to the trip and he provided a lot of details. We really enjoyed the mornings at the house with the sun rising over the hills across the lake. There were four of us but we had plenty of room for another couple or 3-4 kids.

Heavenly break from the world!
Absolutely loved this property. Right on the lake, a mile from town, perfect assortment of bedrooms for family couples and family room for children. Property manager and owners were a pleasure to work with. Can’t wait to return next year :) or sooner :) Thank you!!!

Adult friend group getaway
We had a wonderful time with comfortable accommodations! We all love to cook and gather around the table, and enjoyed the open floor plan and well equipped kitchen to do just that! The location was perfect! Early morning walks/ jogs into town were great! The house is right on the water, with all rooms having spectacular views!
The dock was perfect with plenty of seating for morning coffee and evening wine. Just be careful as there are no railings and so not real conducive for little kids. All adults in our party for this getaway. So easy to use the kayaks and swim off the dock. Just wear water shoes!
All three of our cars had a spot to park. We followed the instructions, and the pictures the owner provided made it very easy.
The house was very clean. The only reason I entered 4 stars is the carpet in the bedroom was a little old, but it was clean nonetheless.
Tom was very responsive with any questions we had. It's a great house, and we would definitely stay there again!

Everything was accessible house is very accommodating !!! whatever you need is right there no need to run out buy anything!! We learned at the house that we will be grandparents again and the bench was used in living room space was such the perfect t set up!!

We all had a wonderful time! The access to the lake was great for the swimmers, and the short walk into town was enjoyed many times. Proximity to the falls, good restaurants and breweries were also high on the list. Overall a great experience!

Amazing Stay!
Cannot recommend this house enough! Not only was the communication leading up to our stay great which comprehensive information regarding the home and its amenities but the house lived up to the listing and then more! We thoroughly enjoyed not only the area but being on the lake and all that the house had to offer. We wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy it even more!!

My family and I (8 adults) spent 4 days at this lovely lake house in Watkins Glen. I highly recommend this properly for your Finger Lakes stay. The owners and property manager are very responsive. The instructions they provide are extremely thorough and they have pretty much thought of everything that you could possibly need/ask.
The beds are comfy and the views are incredible. The 2nd floor bedrooms have huge glass windows that make you feel like you are actually on the lake.
The owners have all the outdoor equipment you could want for you stay and the location cannot be beat. We enjoyed the paddle boat, the Weber grill and the outdoor fire pit
I understand that some guests have issues with the parking. We had two vehicles with us and had no trouble parking with the detailed instructions (and signs) about where you can and cannot park. There is a steep driveway to park at the kitchen level of the house, but what can you expect when you are literally staying on the lake? Our large SUV had no issues driving up and down it.
We also had fun leaving pennies on the railroad tracks and collecting our squished treasure after the train passed by.
All in all it was a wonderful, peaceful place to stay and we hope to go back again sometime. Book w/confidence!

Great week with the family
This home is beautiful and clean. Morning sunshine off the lake was a wonderful way to start the days. Perfect for our family and my in-laws. Or kids loved jumping off the dock into the lake and loved the kayak. We will likely rent this house in the future.

The house was well-stocked with dishes, cups, glasses, tableware, pots and pans, and towels. Our family enjoyed using the kayak and tubes. There was a paddle boat available but we did not use it. The dock was large enough for 8 of us to sit and enjoy each other's company. All 8 of us fit around both the kitchen table and the outdoor table, with enough chairs for all. We enjoyed campfires 3-4 evenings using the wood-burning fire pit, not the gas fire pit.
The outside area needed some updating, such as a broken set of steps down to the lake, which made it difficult for some to access and egress the water without help. The front entrance needed more slats added to the railings, as the open spaces on the rails opened to 6-8 foot dropoffs.
The weather was good, with two days being very hot and humid, so we were extremely pleased to have the AC and ceiling fans. It would have been a bit better if an additional refrigerator was available for the renters to use. A second refrigerator was there, but only for the Owners to use when they are in residence.
Overall we had a great week...even with two days of not being able to shower, use the dishwasher or flush the toilet consistently due to a broken motor on the sump pump. After two days, a company came to pump out the sewage to make space for more, as a new motor will not be available for about 3 weeks. We were very flexible and "went with the flow"!!!

There's ample space for several vehicles and we have a very large truck. The lake was beautiful and clean, dock was a nice asset, and we enjoyed the kayak and paddleboat. The breeze of the lake was perfect and air-conditioning was not needed in mid-June (even with a high of 80's in the daytime). Inside, the home was well-stocked and we were provided with everything we needed for a very nice weekend.

Winery and Boat trip
Great location right on Seneca Lake. We were able to dock our boat at Village Marina easy distance to house. Plenty of room for 10-12 guests. Spent our days boating and exploring Seneca and Cayuga Lake and the canal system. Booked a wine tour. Great towns to stop and explore. Owners were great, great communication, very responsive and friendly. Beautiful sunrise too! Parking is tricky but we managed. If you love boating, fishing, hiking this is the spot

We came up for a three day race at Watkins Glen. House was very clean, beds very comfortable, enjoyed the amazing view, water so clear, if it had been a bit warmer might have taken a dip. Parking was a little tricky but we figured it out. Would definitely stay here again...Thank you to owner and management for being so responsive with questions.
