Why be near the water when you can be on the water?? Semi-secluded lake-level four bedroom retreat home located just ten steps to the water's edge. Located on the western shore of Seneca Lake just one mile (walking distance) north from the Village of Watkins Glen and just a short quarter-mile’s walk (north) to the Tiki Bar. Near public boat launches, Watkins Glen Gorge State Park, Watkins Glen International Speedway, the Finger Lakes National Forest, and many of the wineries of the Finger Lakes Wine Trail. Ideal setting for outdoor activities and all the Finger Lakes has to offer. Landlocked salmon and lake trout have been caught right off the dock! Boat lift available upon request for V-hull boats 17'-21' long for stays of 3 days or longer.
This three story year-round vacation home with private dock offers spectacular views of Seneca Lake from all rooms. This 2,400 square foot home easily sleeps 8 guests and can handle up to 10 total guests. There are two queen size beds, one full size bed, two twin beds, a two-person trundle bed and a pull-out couch. There is a full bath on each of the first two levels. This home is located on a well-maintained county road and offers off-street parking for four cars.
The main level offers an expansive open concept living area with a fully equipped modern kitchen and panoramic lake views. This year-round home includes all modern amenities including washer, dryer, dishwasher, large screen TV, internet, wifi, air conditioning and a four bottle wine cooler. The home also includes a wood pellet stove, an outdoor gas grill (no tanks necessary), an outdoor fire-pit, an array of outdoor furniture for “over-the-water” dining on the dock and so much more. For train buffs, there is even an occasional slow moving real live freight train (usually with no more than 8 cars) that runs through the property at roughly 5 mph several times per week.

We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this property. The location is great - very private, yet close to town and with easy access to both sides of the lake by car. The home was clean and spacious, with great views from every room. The outdoor area was also spacious with plenty of entertainment (kayaks, fireplace, dock, etc). We would absolutely stay here again.

It was lovely. I know the area well, having lived there. We moved across the country in the late 80s yet still have many friends in the area and return most years typically renting a lake house. As should be the case, the view of Seneca Lake even whilst in the house was all one could want with many large window lake views. Enjoy!

I've been staying at various rental properties in the Watkins Glen area for about 5 years now as my company sponsors the annual NASCAR race every year. Tom and Regina's home is the best one I've stayed in yet by far and I won't stay anywhere else moving forward. Everything was perfect. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were clean. The spaces were great for hosting and hanging out and the views are incredible. Tom's hospitality is the best I've received in my years of traveling for work. It was like staying at an uncle's lake house for the weekend. Tom loves sharing his space and goes the extra mile to make sure you have what you need to enjoy it the fullest. My only regret is not having much down time from our race schedule to be able to enjoy the house more. We will be back, both for work and for pleasure!

This house was just perfect for our weekend wine tasting girls trip. Three moms and three daughters. The moms all had their own bedrooms while the girls enjoyed the big room where they could all sleep together. Perfect location, very close to town where we caught the wine trolly on Saturday and then sailed on the True Love on Sunday.
