The serving boys and staff generally were very good that is why I have not rated the place a 5. They charged Rs 5,000 per night which is just too much for a place like this. The food is decent and service is prompt. We had a few people partying too loud in the adjacent room post 11 pm, when I pointed this out it was immediately taken care of.
The view from the balcony might appeal to some but it's nothing spectacular.
If you get this property for about Rs 2500 for a night for young couples, I think it's worth considering. Elderly people with mobility issues advised to avoid.
The place has NO LIFT FACILITY which came as a big shock! (I have an issue with my legs). The alternate solution was to bring the car down to the lowest level which still required to descend two flights of stairs. (this was suggested by the local driver thankfully after a full day of torturous climbing up and down).
The rooms don't have any cupboards or side tables or storage space which is very inconvenient for a three day stay.
We paid Rs 5,000 plus per night for a group of three and it was just too much for a hotel missing these basic facilities.
The approach to the hotel is a very steep incline of about 400 m which is another point of concern.
We had our own vehicle so the distance to Nainital (9 kms) did not bother us.

Staff and food was too good. View from room was also okay... Not too good but it was fine.
Location was far away from main nainital. Nearly 8-10km. If you like peace and want to stay away from the crowd.. this hotel is for you. But in case you want to stay in main nainital where you can see lot of people, market around you then don't consider this.

The hotel is value for money. ( If rate <1600)
The property is well maintained and the staff member Mr Sonu is very well mannered and takes good care of all the requests.
The view from the balcony is good and the place is apt for a short stay on the way to Nainital if you are running late which was our case.
The location is around 10kms from the Nainital lake or Mall road.
We were given a room on the top floor, room 301 and there was a toilet smell prevalent throughout due to possible lack of ventilation in the main pipeline. It would be good if the management could fix this. So it would be better to get room in any of the lower floors.
Also the non veg food chili chicken we ordered had the chicken undercooked and the taste was also mediocre. So better to stick with veg options if you have to order as the inhouse restaurant is not busy or capable as a fully functional normal restaurant.
For the complimentary breakfast we were served Aloo paratha and tea which were good.
