House was nice and clean. Master bedroom bed was very comfortable and I had no complaints from family about the beds in the other rooms. Good location. Far enough from highway so not much highway noise and far enough from the beach so the late night parties at the beach dont cause loss of sleep. It is walking distance from the beach...Im 60 and walked to it but I definately would prefer using a golf cart. I will definitely stay at this location again.

You can’t beat this place when it comes to budgeting a fun, safe trip for your friends or family. The owner is great about communication too. We had a blast and I know my friend is looking for book here again for the spring already!

The house was not clean. Towels were dirty, hair in the sinks, floors were covered with sand, the place dusty and spider webs in pretty much every corner. Furniture was broken,the beds had sink holes. Reached out to the owner he said he'd send someone to clean but when my family and i returned from sightseeing five hours later the place still looked the same. Thise beds were so uncomfortable and the place so dirty we left a day early and flew back to California. We are all in our 50s so an uncomfortable night's sleep does not make for a great vacation.

Brought the whole family down (even the pups). Everyone had a great time. The house was the perfect size for us and was neat and clean when we arrived. Check in was super easy. Thanks to the host for a great week.

I recently had a terrible experience during my stay at a VRBO property called Chompy. The host, Matt, was extremely unprofessional and repeatedly gaslighted my family and me regarding the cleanliness of the property. We even took several pictures of the property and sent them to the host to rectify the problem but he refused to acknowledge the issue. Instead, he suggested that we leave that night and receive a refund. It was evident that his only concern was filling the property with other guests and increasing the price for the 4th of July weekend. I would strongly advise anyone thinking of renting this property to be cautious as it is likely that the cleaning standards are not up to par. We even called VRBO customer service to report the issue but Matt was rude to the representative and eventually hung up. During our stay, we found dog hair and human hair in the sheets, as well as a roach, which we had to kill. When we brought these concerns to Matt's attention, he accused us of lying. Overall, it was an unpleasant experience and I would not recommend staying at this location if you want a clean experience with your family.

Pros: location, cable/dish TV (I forget which), great washer dryer, free detergent pods/dishwasher pods/garbage bags, softest/best 1 ply toilet paper I’ve ever used (didn’t use the good stuff we had brought), outdoor shower had hot/cold water, board games, good shower heads and water pressure Cons: cleaning staff does not turn the AC back down for the next guest, broken/missing electrical plates (somewhat concerning as we had our 2 and 5 year olds with us), the 9 is missing from the address marker x2, front left burner on the stove doesn’t work, property was a little hard to access due to a worn lockbox holding the keys Would have been nice: a book or two for beach readers, keyless entry, an ice maker in the refrigerator, a small tv in the bedrooms (master has one) Overall, a nice place that could be great with a little TLC. Would stay again. Thanks, Matt!

The property is great! Comfortable and spacious for the 7 people that stayed with me. It was about a 4-5 minute walk to the beach. Location is quiet. It was close to a grocery store and a restaurant that had live music! Host was communicative and replied quickly. Really enjoyed my stay and will be back!

We had a great time. The owner was very nice and helpful, and the house was beautiful. However, it was very dirty. We could tell the cleaning crew had just left, because of the overwhelming smell of Lysol, but we couldn’t tell what they cleaned. There were stains all over the carpets and furniture, about 3 inches of dust on the ceiling fans and vents. Also, when I went to get a towel from the bathroom cabinet, they were all soaking wet, in both bathrooms. So the first thing i had to do was laundry. Then I had to sweep up all the dog hair from a previous guest and clean the countertops. If this house had a new cleaning crew, we would definitely return. We did have a lot of fun.

We enjoyed the house and the beach. Perfect get away week. We will stay here again. The house was great! Would have been better with a golf cart to get down to the beach but we made it work with the truck. Definitely a great place to stay

We had a great time staying on Crystal Beach. We (a family of 5) came down from Colorado and spent 2 nights bringing my wife's parents along from Houston. The house was in great shape and we really enjoyed relaxing at the home, hanging out on the patio, and walking to and spending time along the beach. Matt was very helpful and we'd definitely come back and stay here as it was quiet and relaxing.

This is in a Great Location and it's a very nice home. Just a short walk to the beach and a short drive to the ferry gave us everything we were looking for on a small vacation.

We have rented this property once before. My family was thrilled to stay at this home again. It feels like a home away from home. The rental price, amount of rooms, layout of the house, look of the home and large porch is why this one is chosen above others, for us.

We rented this adorable cottage from Matt over the weekend. It was clean, spacious, and so comfy. We just fell in love with this place. The house had everything we needed. Now I need to find an excuse to rent Matt's home again!

When asked, "Where are you staying?", answered "Holiday Beach" everyone was very impressed as they stated, "That's a nice place!" And it was! Living area and kitchen open with ample sitting. Front deck very spacious. We enjoyed our stay. Perfect!

Loved the house. We enjoyed our stay it was clean updated like new house. Only thing that I found wrong was the direct TV did not work. Glad that you had wifi and we could still watch TV.

Awesome house, plenty of room to park, Shower outside is convenient for everything. Plenty of room for my family to sleep and enjoy there own space. Has a nice dinning room with a big table for family meals and games. Washer and dryer set up was real nice and easy to use. Chompys is a great house to be at for your beach trip.

There was a total of 7 and there was more than enough room for us all! The place was great and had all that you need. The owner was easy to get in touch with any issues and fast to get it fixed. We rented a golf cart which is the best way to go especially with the beach being about a 5 min walk or just crusing the beach and neighborhood!

It was a great house and the perfect size for our family. Close to the beach and close to all the stores. I do recommend bringing chairs to sit downstairs for kids to play around in the yard!

We enjoyed our stay at Chompy’s. The location was great, house was clean. We were in Crystal Beach for our son’s proposal to his longtime girlfriend. After we arrived for our stay, we wished we would have added another day.! We plan to rent this home again!
