It is a charming cottage, bright and full of character, and in a terrific location. It felt very homely and we found everything and anything that we needed. The two outdoor spaces were a big bonus. The host could not have been more helpful. I would definitely choose the house again if staying in Shaldon.
The steep ladder stairs up to the bedroom suite on the top floor. Once there, the room is lovely and has its own bathroom, but you need to be agile.
The difficult access for cars is a reflection of Shaldon, not the house itself. If going again, I would avail of the one-hour free parking on Fore St / Strand to unload and then park at the Ness Car Park (approx £7 a day)

Lovely cottage with lots of space. Great facilities and the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept on!
The balcony area was a lovely surprise and we spent most mornings sat out there enjoying a cup of tea.
The host was great and kept me informed of timings etc.
would absolutely stay here again.
The only issue is there is no parking but that’s made clear in the booking. Some days were easier than others to find parking but it’s to be expected when there is no designated parking spots. Wasn’t a huge issue at all really.

Great location
property was very dated and needed extremely good clean, loads of old and half broken decor and cluttered with not needed items that can easily break. loads and loads of dust
