About this cottage rental
Situated in Alnwick, this lovely cottage for $122 per night is a great option for your next vacation. High quality period stone cottage in central Alnwick perfect for couples and small families. The cottage has a delightful patio garden which backs onto the original town walls. We make every effort for you to enjoy a comfortable and relaxing stay. Puddleduck cottage has all the local amenities nearby. These include the Alnwick Playhouse. The famous Barter Books, (one of the largest secondhand bookshops in the country, situated in the fascinating old railway station) is just a few minutes walk away and is great for spending a couple of hours reading and enjoying a cup of tea and cake around an open fire. The cottage is located between the Heritage coast and Cheviot hills. Alnwick Castle and Gardens are just a few minutes walk away. The tree house restaurant in Alnwick Gardens is highly recommended (Need to book for evening). Free Wi-Fi is included. Pets not accepted. The cottage is lovely. It was well equipped and very clean and comfortable. There was a generosity about the place - from the welcome basket to the basics left in the kitchen (tea, coffee, salt and pepper, washing up liquid etc). It is a few minutes from everything - playhouse, castle and gardens, restaurants. Best restaurant for us was Lilburns in Alnwick- book as soon as you can.

The cottage is close to the road so there is some traffic noise at times but that's what we were expecting.

We really liked the cottage and the way we could just walk into town. It was a perfect spot for access to the wedding we attended in Alnwick Gardens. We found the beds comfortable and the house was spotless. We would love to return again one day.

Good location in the centre of Alnwick, however quite noisy as all the buses and trucks avoiding the narrow archway down the road come past. Street parking fine just up the road by the Tanner's Arms.

Alnwick break
The property had all you could reasonably want for a short stay in Alnwick. It is exactly as described online- close to all amenities in the town and a 10 minute drive from several wonderful Northumberland beaches.

Beautiful cottage in an amazing location, the cottage was beautiful & clean. Lovely little welcome pack with biscuits & wine on arrival.
On the Friday we had no power due to the storm however the cottage had everything we needed to get through the night.

Amazing property
We’ve loved our stay at the Puddleduck Cottage. The cottage is ideally located 5min walk from the city centre, Alnwick gardens, Barter books and convenience stores. It is within easy commute to wonderful places waiting to be discovered. The cottage is truly beautiful and well furnished with a lovely outdoor space. It is suitable for couples or small families. We highly recommend it!

Cosy property in an excellent location
We loved staying at Puddleduck Cottage. It was our first time in this part of the country and thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. The cottage was surprisingly close to town and with the window open, a little noisy from the passing traffic. However, with the window closed it wasn't a problem. We felt very comfortable in the cottage and parking wasn't a problem. We loved sitting in the outdoor space in the sunshine. We hope to visit again in the future.

Excellent communication with Janet - lots of information left at the cottage to guide us - Everything was perfect and we had an amazing time in Alnwick -some attractions closed due to virus but still plenty to do -If you are looking for perfect accommodation in a gorgeous setting this cottage is it . The cosiest cottage we couldn’t leave....
This gorgeous cottage provided shelter from Storm Dennis on a windy long weekend in Northumbria. It had everything we needed - so much so that we couldn’t tear ourselves away from the log burner to eat out in the evenings (fantastic lunches were had at The Ship Inn at Newton and The Jolly Fisherman in Craster instead!). Brilliant location in centre of Alnwick for a wander around the shops, tearooms and pubs! Puddleduck Cottage provided a much needed short break - have returned much refreshed!

Great cottage didn't want to leave. It has everything you could need and it is so central. We wouldn't stay anywhere else in Alnwick now and hope to come back later in the year.

Winter break
We had a lovely time, getting out for walks on the coast and up Simonsides. There were good maps and walk guides and clear information about the electronic gadgets in the house and the local facilities. Our holidays are never complete without a trio to a second hand bookshop, Barter books was less than 10 mins walk away. Lovely holiday, thank you

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage was so close to all amenities, so was in an ideal situation. What was provided within the cottage was excellent, so the cottage was like a home from home. We would hope to come back to Puddleduck cottage again.

Comfortable and conveniently situated cottage
Puddleduck Cottage was clean, comfortable and welcoming, with everything we needed for our week in Alnwick. Close to shops, bars and restaurants with free long stay parking nearby. Just a few minutes walk from Alnwick Castle and gardens. Easy to get onto routes to the coast and National Park. Ideal for our first trip to Northumberland.
We know where to stay if we get to travel so far north again.

Lovely house in central Alnwick location
Puddleduck Cottage is a small but perfectly formed and comfortable home from home. It has everything needed for a pleasant stay and free long stay parking is near enough not to be a nuisance in day to day proceedings.
It’s located near the heart of Alnwick and it’s easy to venture out further into coastal Northumberland. Highly recommended for a stay.
