The Blue Crab Cottage was the ideal fit for our group, not too small, not too big, nice and cozy, just right. Fenced in yard for our two dogs worked out great. We always love the holiday decorations down on the Town common area/square in front of Hunan Diner when we visit around Christmas, especially the large manger scene.

Cobwebs on kitchen ceiling. Microwave is cracked at bottom of handle. Shower needs a deep clean. Was very pleased with property and enjoy it. I would recommend to someone else.

Very cute cottage updated with amazing seaside decor!
The pictures on the internet made it look larger than it was but we enjoyed it anyway. Our dog really enjoyed the fenced-in yard. Very helpful information about the area in the notebook for first time visitors.

So much to appreciate about this place! From the convenient walking distance to the beach, to the cute and quaint accommodations, and all the sweet little touches of hospitality throughout, it was perfect for our group. Our Boston Terrier loved the fenced in yard and we spent a lot of time hanging out in the screened in porch. The ceiling fans kept the house airy and cool in all the rooms, and everything was adequately cleaned beforehand. Was also pleased there was no noticeable pet odor as typical with pet friendly environments. I would definitely stay here again.

The Blue Crab Cottage had all the basics for a long weekend escape from DC. We were able to go on long walks around the peninsula, and a few hikes at the nearby parks. Our dog loved the yard, and we enjoyed sitting in the sunroom with a cup of coffee while the kids slept in, and watching movies with the kids on the large sectional. It might have been tight for a larger group, but it worked out well for the 4 of us (we used the extra bedroom to lay out our belongings and as a dressing room).

Stayed for the Veterans Day weekend. The cottage was perfect for us to reconnect and enjoy a great weekend. It’s fully furnished and has everything you need including towels and linens. Great communication with the owners. The small welcome kit was a very nice personal touch. Overall 5 star rating for sure. If I had to pick anything at all to improve on would be a grill and perhaps a fire pit. But nothing you can’t work around. We will definitely be returning! Thank you Bruce and Michele!!!

We loved the Blue Crab Cabin. We brought our senior dogs and were able to walk them to both Monroe Bay and the Potomac River. We also went to Westmoreland State Park with the dogs. In addition, the people we encountered were very friends. We'd like to go back. I give it the highest rating.

The house was clean and well appointed. The beds were super comfortable and we loved not having to bring along our own sheets and towels. The supply of toilet paper, dish soap, dishwasher powder were all great extras that made packing up and getting out of our house for a week break so much easier. Loved the welcome pack of toiletries. Very thoughtful. We loved the fenced in backyard for our dogs. Very clear instructions for cleaning up at the end of the stay. The town itself in March is a very quiet. Just what we were looking for but also meant that a lot of locate venues were closed. We still found enough to do when we wanted to venture out. If you like it real busy then go after April 1st when most places start opening up and the fresh seafood comes in. Stratford Hall is a 25 min drive away and a must visit on the agenda of any history buff. Thanks to Bruce and Michele for having such a welcoming home away from home.
