Situated in Canterbury, this charming house for $204 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. An idyllic and quintessential English cottage set in a quiet cul-de-sac of just 10 cottages less than 5 minutes' walk from Canterbury's historic and vibrant city centre. The property which boasts both front and back gardens, Canterbury Cathedral views, 2 bedrooms, traditional decor and all mod cons sleeps up to 4 adults (+Z bed) is one of the very few cottages in the middle of Canterbury which is also pet friendly. Please note that, as is typical in cottages of this type, the stairs are quite steep to the bedrooms though we do have handrails. A free parking permit is available for your stay on request at nearby Longport car park.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It was warm, comfortable, and convenient to downtown Canterbury.

Well-stocked, great location (you can see Canterbury Cathedral spires from the front garden), charming decor and spacious floor plan easily sleeps four or five. My kids loved the extras (X-box with plenty of offline games), and my wife and I enjoyed watching some DVD’s from the owner’s collection, including the Spielberg classic ET, on the widescreen TV in the parlor. Warm gas fireplace in parlor and instructions on how to use. Much better option than any local hotel!

Excellent accommodations
It was a great experience for our week in Canterbury. Easy walking to so many things, including train station only 17 minute walk. The rooms were comfortable and visually calming and if we needed anything the grocery store was 5 minutes away. The best part was the owner had quick response especially when the power went out one night. Totally would stay again if need be.

This is a typical 150 year old English flat, total of about 15’ wide.
Steep stairs is an understatement. The bathroom situation is very awkward. Not good for two couples. This unit would also be difficult for elderly. It is dated and tied. It works, but know what your getting.

Lovely house with everything needed to cover your stay. Lovely welcome hamper cosy feel to the property. Excellent location to walk into Canterbury

Lovely and central with convenient parking
Perfect for our family of 2 adults and 2 kids, aged 2 and 6, having all amenities we needed. The staircase was quite steep, but child gates were available. Car park was a few minutes wall away so we just parked and walked our things over. House and garden are lovely. We had a great time and would stay again.

Great Location
Peaceful cottage on the edge of the city with easy access to all the local facilities.
Excellent communication from Neil from start to finish with all the information provided for our stay and an added bonus is the provision of a car park pass for the nearby Longport car park.

Perfect!
Absolutely loved our stay in St. Augustine's Cottage. Location was fantastic, easy to walk to all of the attractions that Canterbury has to offer. The cottage itself was very comfortable and had everything we needed and more. Beautifully furnished with very comfortable beds. The cottage was warm and it was lovely to relax there in the evenings after our trips to the Kent coast. Really appreciated the welcome basket and the added extras, especially the coffee! Thank you Neil and Joanne for your fantastic communication and for enabling us to have a much needed break.

Great cottage
We found the property in great order. Great location with a lovely pub around the corner with good food and friendly staff. We would recommend this property to any of our friends to stay, loved it. Nice little welcome pack on the kitchen table when we arrived, nice touch.

Fabulous cottage
Perfect cottage for our stay and comfy and in walking distance of the city centre. Welcome hamper was a lovely surprise. Xbox kept our teenager entertained when the weather wasn't so good. Would definitely stay again. Thank you!

Lovely cottage, ideally located
This is our second stay at the cottage and it continues to deliver. In a city with little parking, the benefit of off-street parking cannot be mistaken. Ideally placed to walk into the City as well as short drives away from the likes of Whitstable and Dover Castle.....we will be looking to stay a third time!

Great house close to town centre
Really enjoyed our stay at this property. It was literally 2 minutes walk into the town center. Despite this the house is quiet and private. Great kitchen facilities.

A very cosy house on a perfect location in Canterbury. The house is clean and specious. 2 big size bedrooms and one with own bathroom. Dining room and good kitchen with view on the garden. Just about 400 m from the city center,! With own parking space. A good price/quality. Surprise was the welcome basket with all sorts of food👍�

Expectations Exceeded
The property was exactly as advertised and equipped to meet all our needs during the 12 day stay. Neil was very responsive in providing helpful suggestions, particularly for restaurants (the Corner House is indeed very good and the blood pudding wrapped Scotch Eggs were truly excellent). The 10 minute access to the heart of Canterbury allowed for easy and safe enjoyment of the town.
The parking was an additional bonus for friends who visited with us. They were equally impressed with the property.

Great cottage, good location in Canterbury
The cottage was lovely, cosy and well equipped. There were 5 of us and we had plenty of room, the bedrooms are spacious with good beds and the sofa bed was also comfy. I loved the roll top bathtub! The kitchen was very well equipped to cook our Easter lunch, and the garden a real treat in the sunshine. The place is very convenient to explore Canterbury, only 5’ walk from the Roman walls and 15’ from the Cathedral - also, it’s close to the bus station to get around the rest of Kent easily.
Neil was a very responsive host and we loved the chocolates and wine we found on arrival. Definitely recommended for a family stay!

Brilliant Location, a real home from home
We really enjoyed staying here, it's only a short walk from the city centre, has a good local pub and parking. The cottage is characterful and well equipped. We were also very lucky with the sunny Autumn weather. Recommended.

Had a great stay here. Beautiful cottage and very thoughtfully equipped. Owners have clearly put a lot of thought into making sure it has all conveniences but has authentic charm.
We could have brought our dogs and the parking space was a massive bonus.

Lovely cottage in the perfect location!
We had a week's stay in this lovely cottage with parking and a garden which was just great. The owners couldn't have been more helpful the welcome hamper was such a nice touch, even a packet of chews for Flint! It is in the perfect location for visiting the beautiful city of Canterbury. There was so much to see, the Cathedral was stunning, a trip on a boat on the river rowed by a very informative young man, so much history. Lots of restaurants and pubs to suit all tastes, unfortunately not enough time to try them all! The parking is a real bonus you can leave the car there all week, or like we did visit other lovely places like Whitstable. All in all a fabulous holiday!

Delightfully, renovated house in the centre of Canterbury
We had a lovely time staying in this amazing cottage which has been stylishly and sympathetically renovated. It is very comfortable and well equipped, and in an ideal location for visiting Canterbury- we didn't use the car except for a trip to the coast. It was very warm while we were there but we were still able to sit and eat outside in shade or sunshine. Wonderful welcome pack!
