Staff, location, breakfast.
Bed and pillows a little hard.

The whole place was like a big family house that's how it felt for me anyway, an amazing staff excellent breakfast and the nicest people I've met in japan i would love to come back there for my next time in japan
The bathroom and shower aren't private that could be uncomfortable for some people, but it really didn't bother me that much.

The staff is incredible. Everyone is so genuinely friendly, and of course helpful, but I'll take great human beings above any service elements. I have not had the pleasure of being hosted by so many amazing people whom I consider more friend than lodge representative.
I sincerely hope I see everyone again!
You're all amazing! Obviously the staff might change for future guests, but those of you who are there at the moment know I mean you! Thanks so much for an unforgettable experience.
The lodge also does not reek of kerosene fumes like other lodges in Japan that use old heating methods, such as the last lodge at which I stayed.
Location is excellent, and varied breakfast dishes are prepared each morning ranging from agadashi tofu to omelettes.
The tatami mats are comfortable and room aesthetic crisp, clean, and pleasantly simple.
