It was nice to have a big enoigh house for a good price. The two ovens were great. Lots of funky corners and rooms in the house. It's definitely outdated, but we werent looking for anything fancy.

This house sits on a bluff looking west over the Strait of Juan de Fuca. You can see the Olympic Mountains, Vancouver Island and the San Juan Islands. It helped that the weather was perfect when we were there, but the view is gorgeous.
The house was the perfect size for our group of nine adults and one infant. the living/dining area is large and comfortable. The kitchen was well-appointed and had everything we needed. We appreciated the Thanksgiving gift "basket"--a turkey roasting pan, aluminum foil, containers for leftovers, etc. It was very thoughtful.
We had a couple of problems with things not working, but I trust those issues will be resolved before the next guests arrive.
Only three cars are allowed to park on-site even though there is plenty of room for more. We complied with the request for limited cars, but it was very inconvenient for those of use who had to park off-site.

From the easy directions, the uncomplicated access, to the well appointed house this space was perfect for the seven of us. We enjoyed the space so much that we stayed in soaking in the views and playing games in the enormous common space. Close to amenities at Oak Harbor a short distance away. I would highly recommend this house.

Nice views but not in good condition. Bathroom toilet in master did not flush at all. Called and they tried to fix but to no avail. Shower curtains were atrocious and would be an easy fix. They are also a tripping hazard. Mattress pad in master was very stained. Fireplace was lovely. Kitchen had lots of pans, dishes, etc.
Would not stay again without some changes.

Layout of the downstairs allowed for easy gatherings.

When we arrived, there was a very foul smell in one of the bedrooms. We quickly realized that one of the twin beds was soaked in urine (the sheets, all the way through to the mattress was saturated). We immediately called Vacasa, but the call center could not get in touch with the local team for almost 24 hours.
The smell from the mattress was so bad that we had to put it in the garage which meant that we did not have use the ping pong table in the garage.
We then discovered that a comforter on another bed had feces on the underside. It was clear that the comforter had not been washed.
Other issues, multiple pots and pans had grease and dried food in the bottom and had to be washed. We had to wash most of the dishes.
There was no laundry soap, very minimal dishwasher soap and minimal amenities.
The view was beautiful, but the yard was poorly maintained with thorny bushes overgrown on the benches, and the grass was full of thorns/thistles.
I will never rent through Vacasa and would NEVER go back to this house.

Beautiful views from the house and close to a number of beaches.
That said, the house is very tired and overpriced for what it is. Some beds were comfortable, others were saggy and old. The kitchen was missing some essentials, but after raising them with the property manager, they were delivered (thank you!).
For the price, it was very disappointing to not have ample supply of paper towels, toilet paper, dishwashing pods and dishwasher soap. These should be included. There were also no dish clothes in the house.

The view from the patio and living area were amazing. Great location near Oak Harbor, Deception Pass, Coupeville and Anacortes. The house fit our needs for a large group and was sufficiently supplied. However…most of the beds were very uncomfortable. Especially the king room on the main floor. Vacasa, PLEASE replace this mattress before you rent this house again. One half of the mattress was unusable. Our group occupied every room and had no choice but to use it. Also, what exactly was my cleaning fee used for? Cobwebs in the windows and doorways. Dust bunnies abound. The best feature of this house is the windows facing the Salish Sea. How about washing them between rentals, or ever? I initially gave 4/5 upon our arrival late in the evening. I’ll give a 3/5 at best because the kitchen and bathrooms were clean at least. Could be a wonderful rental with some updates and more thorough cleaning.

The view from the many windows is amazing, and the house is conveniently located to all that you’re going to want to do in Whidbey. It’s large, and comfortably held 10 people from 3 families. It was clean. Vacasa did their job and we had no complaints on that score. Foosball was a big hit.
But it’s not a luxury experience, or one otherwise commensurate with the money charged in the summer. It felt like Grandma’s house, largely abandoned by the heirs, and it wasn’t that nice to begin with. Weird chandeliers, thin walls, dated furniture, mishmash kitchen, no art on the walls, bathrooms that have seen better days. Mostly didn’t matter, except for the thin cheap towels and the mattress downstairs that creaks so loudly we gave over that (large, King, en suite) bedroom to one kid who wouldn’t wake anyone else up. So overall…fine, but not s 5-star experience.

Overall very pleased with the house. Loved the ping-pong table and the foosball. 2 minor things: toilet bowl upstairs in the master bedroom doesn’t reliably flush. Needs 2-3 attempts. Second, the pillows for the bedrooms need replacing. They are worn out and not comfortable.
Additionally, there was a plastic mattress cover on the downstairs King size bed. It crinkled and made noise.
All minor and fixable things. Otherwise, we enjoyed the stay and appreciate such a large multi bedroom house.

Very comfy beds and kitchen is very well stocked.
But…home is pretty beat up. Scuffed walls, many other things haven’t been updated ever.
Main floor has one bathroom which is inside a bedroom. Awkward
Yard is mowed but lots of thistles so no kids running around barefoot
Towels are super thin and low quality.

View was great from the yard . Plenty of space for a big family gathering. Aside from windows being filthy so we couldn’t enjoy the view as much and not having enough garbage bags, dishwasher detergent pods (had to go and buy) it was a great stay. A few minutes drive to the beach that was amazing!

Overall upkeep and amenities were very lacking. Towels and sheets had a cheap feel, something strange about the water, minimal/no paper towels, dish detergent, laundry detergent, etc. average stay

The property is perfectly located to enjoy all that Whidbey Island has to offer - great access to state parks, the quaint towns of Coupeville and Langley and an easy day trip to Port Townsend on the Olympic peninsula! The property could use some upgrades, especially the beds - other than that, it was a good place for our whole family to stay.

Great property for large family gathering. Watched Eagles soaring every day and Orcas breaching on our last morning. Highly recommend.

This home was great for us. We made use of the sauna, and played plenty of ping pong and fooseball. Beautiful views from the main floor and three of the upstairs bedrooms. Lots of bunnies visit the yard and we saw several bald eagles from the house. Quick drive to Oak Harbor for groceries, restaurants, and a lovely big park.

Ten old friends get away here was great overall. We’ll stocked kitchen plus nice large bedrooms for privacy and a large gathering area near the fireplace gave us a perfect balance of group and individual interaction. One of our group forgot her walking poles and a jacket in th front hall closet and Vacasa did not respond to requests for a way to recover them. In the past vrbo was responsive. Part of the problem is that there is such a distance from the cleaning staff and the guests with Vacasa.

Love the location and views! House is comfortable with plenty of room for ten people. The kitchen is very well stocked making it easy to make meals and set a table for a large group. The yard has some fencing but is not secure. Our dogs could only go out on leash. Would stay here again.

Every year 7 of my friends and I go away together to unwind & unplug. This house was perfect for that. Ample room for 8 women. The sauna was amazing. And the location of the house was nice and close to lots of hiking. Shopping. Site seeing. We’d definitely stay here again.

We spent a long weekend and wished we had longer. There was a huge storm, but even that was fun with the windows overlooking the water. Everything about the house was perfect for us. We would gladly come again.

The sunsets on the deck were spectacular. The house had plenty of space, but the interior smelled like a dog.

Overall it was a great place for our family and a few friends. The house was clean and spacious, all appliances seemed to be in working order. We had a little trouble getting in with the door code pad, but we called the Vacasa support number and we got the problem resolved quickly. Good house for young families as well, not too many fragile decorations you have to worry about the little ones grabbing or breaking.

This made for an excellent getaway for my father and sister and me. There were many rooms and most of them had unobstructed views of the Puget Sound. The deck as well as the lookout were stunning. My only complaint is that the communication with Vacasa was frustrating. I use Vrbo on a regular basis and have found communication within the app to be very helpful for asking questions or getting clarification. I sent three messages to them and never got a response. I replied to a text message and never got a response. I then had to call them and ask if it was possible to check in early as I would be on the island sooner. The person on the phone didn’t seem to really be sure and then said “if you haven’t heard from them that means the check in time is 4..” This is not good communication. Telling me if you never respond to me that I should assume the answer is no? Similarly, there were no instructions about if we needed to do anything before leaving this morning. I had sent a message over the app to ask if we needed to start the dishwasher or strip the beds etc. I got no response. So you should definitely come here because it is stunning but know that Vacasa will not be particularly helpful if you have a specific question that isn’t in their email.

Lots of room for everyone- place could use some updates, the master bath had a sign on it saying it didn’t work, but I didn’t see it and used the toilet anyway and it seemed to work all weekend- not sure why they sign was there. Did not have time to check out the sauna. Rooms were all good size and plenty of bathrooms for all.

Spacious home with incredible views!
We had a little week long retreat here with 9 folks. There was plenty of room, and we really enjoyed cooking in the kitchen. The firepit & view of the ocean were incredible as well. Thanks so much for hosting us for such a lovely and memorable vacation!

Stunning property
This is a stunning property in a great location, but it's definitely a quirky mix of updates. Perfect for a big family or two--kids loved the ping pong, foosball, and yard.
If you can tolerate a few inconveniences, such as the partially working cooktop, it's worth it. Upstairs master toilet is now fixed.
