This place was our home base for my husband and two teens in preparation for my daughter's beach wedding. While it is small, it was just right for the four of us with a master bedroom and a second bedroom with two twin beds. The yard is absolutely beautiful and very spacious and the outdoor eating and relaxing areas increase the amount of overall space nicely. The wifi worked well except for an hour when the power was out, no big deal. One thing to note is that this property is on a road that starts out paved, then turns into packed dirt, then just dirt. Since we were in CR during the rainy season we would not have been able to access the house in some of the torrential downpours without 4WD. Overall, this is a beautiful, secluded, private area that will provide a wonderful space to relax. 10/10 would recommend, will go again.

This home is very comfortable and located just out of town so lots of privacy. It’s close to lots of fun things to see and do. I highly recommend it. Also Aileen, owner, is great to work with. Very fast to respond and provides lots of good information of the area.

When I rented I had no clue there was no phone service being it’s more remote location. And then there was no internet do to problems I’m sure. If I were looking for complete seclusion, this would have been perfect. No TV, Internet, phone. Unfortunately in today’s society those are things that are mostly needed. Then when I went to check out early because of those issues, the owner did not want to be very fair. A one night stay cost me more than a very nice hotel with all the amenities. Lesson learned but I would not stay there again.

Really nice property. Unfortunately the location was not right for us. The dog next door was always on our step and barked all night long it really ruined our last nights.

Overall we had a fantastic vacation! Although there were a few hiccups with the air-conditioning not working in the living room and none of the ceiling fans working, Aileen was more than fair & accommodating! Great value & great place to stay!

We really enjoyed our stay at this place. The accommodation was clean and comfortable, and situated on a large lot with beautiful landscaping. It was a short drive (five minutes) to the Playa Hermosa beach, where there were a number of good restaurants. The beach was good for walking on and we were able to watch surfers every day, including a competition on Saturday afternoon. There are also many other beaches within a half an hour drive. The house is a about an hour`s drive from Manual Antonio park, and about an hour and a half drive to the international airport in San José. The owner provided excellent written information on restaurants in the area and other things to do.

We loved our stay at Aileen and Fritz's house! My husband and I traveled with our four young children and infant for six weeks in Costa Rica. Eileen and Fritz's house was our oasis to come home to after our daily adventures. We were able to go surfing almost daily and access all of the conveniences of Jaco from their house just a short distance away. The outdoor shower was great for rinsing sandy bodies, the kitchen was well stocked with supplies, and the AC was just what we needed to cool off on hot days. The kids also really enjoy the property. They made friends with lizards, and saw toucans, quetzals, and motmots in the trees on a daily basis. We could hear the howler monkeys from the porch, and seeing macaws flying overhead. Overall it was a perfect place for a family to call home during our long adventure. Thank you Fritz and Aileen! We can't wait to come back to visit!

This property offers all the amenities of home in the middle of this tropical paradise. I stayed here for the entire month of February and was not disappointed. the home offers everything I needed and includes very fast internet. The outside of the home is beautiful also, beautifully landscaped with various fruit trees throughout. We were able to make lime juice and fry up the plantains. various birds stop in the morning including Scarlet Macaws and a flock of Green Parrots. Only a 10 minute drive to Jaco and 2 miles from the Playa Hermosa beach. My sons preferred the waves at hermosa to any others they surfed (however they say in a few months the waves will be a lot bigger. The pictures do not show you the 2nd bedroom but it contains 2 twin beds with amply storage space. We rented a car for the month so that sightseeing and traveling were never a problem and i would recommend a car rental to anyone staying here. Pura Vida! Thanks Aileen, Thanks Fritz.
