We had a late flight and did not arrive at apartment until around 23:00. So we were very grateful to met by a friend of the host, who made us very welcome and showed us around the apartment; he showed us around the complex – how to access pool, underground garage and entry and exit points etc.. We know this area very well and this lovely apartment is in an excellent location. The apartment is very nicely decorated, comfy lounge area, great kitchen facilities, dishwasher was very welcome, washing machine a bonus, plenty of hot water and very powerful showers. The apartment is super. The complex and the grounds are beautiful.
The aircon is preset by the hosts and is pretty ineffectual. The first six / seven days the temperature outside was around 29 / 31c & the humidity was around 90%. The air con units have motion sensors which are set to switch off after just 30 minutes. This is a 3rd floor apartment and was extremely warm and together with very high humidity. The aircon is set so that the ‘cool’ setting knocks off after about 15 -20 minutes, we constantly walked around resetting the units to cool and we struggled to try and lower the temperature to a comfortable level. We were sweating profusely. Trying to get ready to go out, our makeup was just running off and my daughter and I, our hair was flat and stuck to our foreheads within minutes of drying it. It was impossible to cool the flat to a comfortable temp. Trying to sleep was even worse, as soon as you settled down to sleep within 30 mins the motion sensors switched off the aircon and the bedrooms were very, very warm, we were continually waking throughout the night to use the remote to try and reset the aircon – but failed to lower the temperature significantly. I understand the energy prices are high and people will take advantage. Nonetheless, I would have preferred to pay £50- £100 extra to have had a fully airconditioned cool apartment. Had aircon been effective - my review would have been a 10.
Edit: Hi Jules I feel that I have to respond to you and your claim that the aircon goes off after 90 mins and noone has complained in 4 years. Your response would indicate that I am not being truthful. I can assure you whether you choose to belive it or not - that the flat was EXTREMELY hot and I have a text from Paul - I quote ' Jules and Graham have said that the aircon shuts down automatically after it detects no movement after half an hour!

The swimming pool and grounds were beautifully maintained. Having a small supermarket so close by was a massive bonus for essentials. The room sizes were generous and had everything you could wish for. The apartment was really clean and smelt fresh - towels and sheets. Also, the property owner was a delight to liase with and so helpful.
For us the road traffic noise was just a bit too much.

Great welcome Easy parking facilities near by.Nice sea views
Road noise bad.Had a bit of trouble with the lift got stuck in it on more than a couple of occasions.
