The host met us at the train station, gave us a brief tour on the way over, and led us to our space. We would likely not have found it without her help! She shared great information about restaurants, sites to see, using the train, and even kept us alert when poor weather conditions were coming via Whatsapp. The apartment was clean and lovely with a gorgeous sunset and view. There was a washing machine and laundry soap available. Also a small kitchen with many amenities. We sat on the lovely patio several times and enjoyed the option of air conditioning on the hot afternoons.
A couple things that would have been helpful to us, although not necessary to everyone include:
a regular coffee maker - the small italian style coffee pot was challenging to use
a small roll of paper towels in the kitchen - there was only one wash sponge to clean up spills
more than one washcloth and towel in the kitchen
a full length mirror
Also, just a note to be prepared for the very steep and narrow stairwells to the unit. Bring small suitcases that are not too heavy!

Loved this place it felt so spacious and the view was amazing. The air con worked well. We really needed the air con bc it was ridiculously hot and the stairs were a workout. We really appreciated Paola welcoming us and assisting us to the apartment rather than the drop box we’ve become used to, her tips on what to do and where to eat (Dau Cila) only added to the stay. Thanks Paola!

Excellent location. Pictures reflect reality. Paola was great and met us at the train station. Her restaurant recs were excellent. Great for a couple or a family. Two-story apartment.
My family and I were fine, but if you book this property please realize that there are no fewer than 110 steps (up and down) to get to this property after you have walked through the tunnel from the train station. If you have luggage, as we did, be sure to utilize Roberto. He is the only luggage porter in Riomaggiore and charges €10 per bag. A great deal.

Everything went very smoothly. Paola went above and beyond. She met us in person, walked us to the apartment and gave us the keys. She also have us lots of tips and suggestions upon our arrival. She is an excellent hostess! It is also rare to have air conditioning in Italy. It felt like such a luxury. I loved our stay and highly recommend it!
There wasn't anything that I didn't like about our apartment in Riomaggiore. I would return there just to stay in the same place and would book it way in advance to ensure that I got it! There were no downsides. It's a perfect apartment for a couple, friends, or small family. Amazing apartment!
