Nestled in Maggie Valley, this charming house for $190 per night is a great option for your next vacation. Come play in the woods and feel like you have stepped back in time in this charming rustic mountain cabin! “Singletree Lodge” offers you lofty, long-range views and warmth of down home country comfort. This 5 bedroom, 2 bath home provides plenty of sleeping space for the whole crew (2 Queens, 2 Doubles, 4 Twins, 1 Daybed). Soak in the long-range mountain views while you take in the splendor of this incredibly private location. From the covered porch to the plank flooring and open beams you will be delighted with the look, the feel and the views. Treat the kids to a campfire in the open pit as you roast marshmallows and recall your Maggie Valley day. Remote yet only minutes from the infamous “Cataloochee Ski Resort & Ranch” and the beautiful town of Maggie Valley. Depending on the time of year you can fish, hike, ski, tube, raft, dine, shop, ride a train, visit the Cherokee Indian Reservation, drive the Blue Ridge Parkway or just cuddle up with you favorite book as you warm up by the beautiful stone fireplace complete with closed insert. So much to discover, so little time, let “Singletree Lodge” give you memories to share.

The cabin was a joy to stay and and easily accommodated the 8 people in my family that came to this vacation. The location was off of the main road going through Maggie Valley but wasn't so far out that we couldn't easily get back to town if needed. It was really quiet at nice and very peaceful, excellent place to come back to from a fun day in Appalachia. My only cons I have with the place where minor at best. First was the driveway leading up to the cabin. The majority of the road was paved but the driveway like 300' from the cabin it went from paved to crush & run on dirt on a steep incline with a sharp turn into the parking area for the cabin. We were using a rented Jeep Wagoneer so it wasn't too much of an issue for us but make sure your vehicle can handle that kind of road before choosing this cabin. Secondly, know that there is no central cooling for this cabin but there is working heating. It got a bit stuffy there for us but we solved it by buying some simple box fans and placing them in the windows to pull cool air in from outside. Again, not a deal breaker and should have been expected with a mountain cabin. Just be sure to bring some fans when you come to do the same in the Summer, shouldn't be an issue in Fall or Winter. Thirdly, there's no WiFi nor internet in general availible at this location. When we booked our reservation VRBO listed that it had WiFi but when we checked in Carolina Rentals stated it had no internet. Be prepared to use your phone's plan.

The house was not clean at all. One of the beds had been peed in and the sheet where not washed at all. The dryer you had to dry the clothes 5 times to get the dried. The microwave way made noise when u tried to use it. The steps on the the front porch was messed up and cause a fall and a trip to urgent care. I would not ever stay at this place again.The landscaping was no done the weeds were high as the porch, someone was supposed to come and weedeat but never did. One of the queen beds the slats were messed up someone come and said it was a old bed to be careful when sleeping in it. The property manager was very nice.

This property was what I expected for a mountain cabin. Large, comfortable, full of well used furniture. not overly clean--lots of dried vegetation on the porch, behind the doors were spider webs, dust, etc. The sheets were clean, the beds were well used (but kids don't complain), and the cupboards not overly clean (we washed pots/pans before use). There was a starter supply of toilet tissue, dish soap. Bath towels and wash cloths plentiful if small, but only 1 kitchen towel, not dish cloth or sponge. Generous number of plates, silverware, cups, coffee mugs.
Large bedrooms, 3 full baths, a laundry room, and open kitchen, dining and family space. The porch was excellent, with plenty of squeaky rockers, a hammock, and swing. View was amazing.

The cabin was roomy and plenty of room to stretch out for my large family. There was trash on the outside in the woods (shame on renters who would do that) and bedding was sparse/uncomfortable, but over all great.

The road to property is so bad that I was struck in Jungle 2+ hours the day I need to check-in leaving my rating to 4. Keep at least 1 light on. driveway was filled heavy leave wheels were slipping. rooms had cobwebs. Property interiors, location and all is awesome. I am surely going to visit this place again. Kids and family visited - simply loved it. I recommend this place to others

Driveway is terrible, needs some serious repair, grounds were littered with trash and can, oven had food left in it, fridge dirty, 2 eyes on stove didn’t work properly, floors covered in dirt, chicken bones found in living room and on a bed, bathrooms had hair in showers and on floors, mirrors had slimy smudges, possibly toddler or dog slobber, no ac, that’s fine but fans were broken, steps in back need repair, resulted in 3 twisted ankles, fire pit was full of burned trash, cans etc, cigarette butts littered the yard, 2 of the 3 bathroom sinks didn’t drain well, there was no internet provided as stated on website, several screens need to be repaired, the house was full of moths and small critters due to faulty screen. The house has potential but we paid to go into a clean environment and there was absolutely nothing clean about the house. That is somewhat disturbing. Called the rental company upon arrival to report condition and never got a return call.

This cabin is tucked away nicely, offering great privacy and serenity. Plenty of space to sleep many. Conveniently located to Cataloochee Ski Resort. Would definitely stay again. Our only issue was a broken kitchen sink faucet but we made do.

This is a very nice cabin but the driveway can be tricky if wet or iced over. A four wheel drive vehicle would help you rent it. Over all though it is very nice.

Cabin was well planned into the woods. It was dusty inside, it would be nice if it well vacuumed the furniture and beds. Lot of antiques and nicely planned for small groups. Good to go with two families.

The folks in Maggie Valley were friendly and helpful. Great location!! Whitewater rafting 45 minutes. Cherokee Casino 30 minutes. Hiking trails and gorgeous waterfall 20 minutes. Shopping and restaurants right in town. The beds were really comfortable. One thing to note, they aren't kidding when they say they don't supply paper products!! Bring toilet paper! 😆

Great property, great area and close to the ski hill. We arrived well after hours, and after some very intense fog had sat into the hills. The winding road to the property was barely navigable by sight, and a porch light would've helped us out tremendously. Turns out we were next to the driveway, sitting and trying to locate the property on the map, but couldn't see the cabin due to the fog that decided to stick around the entire weekend. Can't blame folks for the weather, but locals should know how thick that fog is (and likely do), so a porch light would've gone a long way.
