Situated in Monroe, this charming docked boat for $122 per night is a great option for your next trip. Very comfortable floating home on beautiful Moon Lake. Amenities include. We are not able to get WiFi at this address. 1. Covered boat slip 2. Boat Ramp 300 yards away 3.Adequate parking for guest and boat trailer 4. Kayaks 5. Gas grill 6. Full kitchen w/ Keurig coffee maker, microwave 7. 50" Satellite Television 8. Endless astonishing views 9. Full size washer and dryer 10. Roomy shower, 50 gal hot water heater 11. Furnished patio and overlooking tranquil Moon Lake 12. Queen master, two twin day beds,4 guest Max. 13. New Construction Summer 2017 Accommodates up to 4 adults Max but not suitable for small children. No pets 14. We have a 35 year old minimum age limit, we don't allow groups. Please respect our request, thank you in advance. Peace and Quit Why stay in a crowded hotel, when fresh air and sunshine await your beck and call? Home Away From Home Everything you need to unwind, relax and chill out in this cozy but fully loaded cabin right on a safe and secure dock. Close to restaurants and nightlife. Poverty Point, World Heritage Site 50 miles away Black Bayou Refuge 3 miles away Ouachita River sand bar, 10 minute paddle from the Slip Away ! Tranquil spot relax and enjoy. This a returning trip for us we love it here. Just as described, and more that can’t be put into words.

The property was so peaceful and clean! My husband loved the electric fireplace so much that we bought one the day we came home. We loved being right on the water and even though it was dewy and rained it was still very beautiful. We will be back again for sure! We ate at Waterfront Grill and Does Eat Place and we absolutely loved both places! We will be back again!

We needed a last-minute getaway with her grandson. The home was perfect. It was exactly as advertised. Being on the water was so peaceful and was a great way to start and end the day. Despite having Neighbors on both sides it was like having our own little sanctuary. Unfortunately we really didn't catch any fish despite being a full moon. This was our first time on Moon Lake so I don't know if it is a good fishing spot or not. But anyone who loves to fish knows that it isn't always about catching fish. We were there to relax and we were able to do that. Thanks Joe for opening your home.

I had such a wonderful staycation as this sweet floating house. It was just like it was pictured. The captain was helpful in all ways and very punctual. Definitely will be returning.

A hidden gem for sure! The marina next door was a blast! Locals came and talked to us, welcoming. Very secluded and quiet but close to town too. Just unbelievably cool.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at “Slip Away”. Captain Joe was extremely accommodating. Houseboat was warm and inviting. Furnishings and decor were well maintained and appropriate. We caught a few catfish but a lot of garfish. I highly recommend this houseboat for those wanting to get away to relax and unwind or fish.

Everything was amazing we had a wonderful time! Having the covered boat slip steps away was so easy & convenient. We enjoyed kayaking, fishing off the back porch, & going out in our boat. I would highly recommend booking The Slip Away. We will definitely be back in the near future.

We loved our stay and will be back again. This was such a relaxing get away for us. They even have small amenities you wouldn’t think of to make your stay even better! The owner is a pleasure to work with also!

We enjoyed our short stay the "Slip Away". The place was very clean and was exactly as described online. Capt. Joe was easy to contact . All went well and I would recommend this place to any of my family or friends.

I don’t give 5 star’s generously! And usually a rare rating from me. All I can say, when visiting Monroe, I plan around open dates just to stay here. The best hidden gem if you enjoy quiet, laid back, lake life with a couple of friends or family. Checking the calendar now for another visit in the fall, or maybe sooner.

I was spending the week fishing in the area and thought this place would be perfect, centrally located to the area’s I was going to be fishing. We ended up getting high wind and rain which allowed me to really relax and enjoy this place. It was clean and well stocked, loved the big couch to nap in! The covered boat slip is awesome, no wet boat after the rain and literally two steps and you’re in the kitchen. Highly recommend!!

We truly enjoyed our 2 weeks here and wish we'd booked longer. The Slip Away met all of our accommodation needs! Our first experience in a floating apartment did not disappoint. We spent a large amount of time sitting on the back deck relaxing, fishing, and enjoying Moon Lake. If the subtle motion of water is a concern you, bring your dramamine. However, the water level was exceptionally high, and we experienced several storms passing through during our stay. Our host, Joe, was wonderful. Communication before and during our stay was excellent, plus he offered great recommendations for activities and eateries. It was difficult to leave. We highly recommend Joe and the Slip Away for your next getaway.

The Slip Away was beyond amazing, very clean and spacious, exactly as pictured. Any and everything you could possibly need is available in the home. I would highly recommend it to anyone. It’s so peaceful and relaxing! This was our first stay & definitely can’t wait to book our 2nd trip!!

My Husband and I have stayed here a couple of times and each time we enjoy it even more! The place is clean and equipped with everything you may need for your stay. The views are outstanding. The property manager is attentive and always available. We will continue to use this place as a getaway!

This was the last part of our roadtrip. The boat house was nicely decorated and updated. We really appreciated that the boat house had a tv, electric fireplace, full size washer & dryer, oven with stovetop, and a full refrigerator. We loved the the sunsets on the water. It was a very new experience staying in a house on the water. We had a couple of surprises during our stay. We missed in the description that there wasn't wifi. That was our own fault. The toilet is very sensitive and can be a little stressful. Someone also came by the house early Saturday and Sunday morning working around outside and in the closet. Which you could hear very well from the bedroom. The boat house was close to a really neat outdoor hiking area. Which was great for us to go out and explore.

A superior rental, with a lakeside patio facing west on a quiet little lake for perfect sunset viewing. Close to a great grocery and restaurants, but feels secluded. Just 4 miles from beautiful Black Bayou Lake National Wildlife Refuge. Joe is courteous and helpful. Recommending without hestotation to family and friends!

My husband and I wanted to celebrate our anniversary by getting away for some rest and relaxation. This was the perfect spot!! The boathouse was very cozy with a beautiful view of the lake, not to mention being able to walk out onto the dock and fish.. the absolute best!!

We needed a few days to just relax and unwind from life. We found a very serene experience at Moon Lake and Joseph’s home on the water. He was a very charming host.

I had an amazing stay this this lake front property. If I didn’t want to go anywhere I could stay and relax on the water, watch tv, go kayaking and even fish! Communication with the property manager was almost instant instructions were clear and concise and if I could give this property and the manager a 10/10 rating I would but the stars only go up to 5.

We had a fantastic time! The house was clean and beautiful. Woke up each morning to a light fog on the lake, sat on the back deck and drank coffee. Host was great and gave perfect recommendations for brunch places. We also found a new Mexican bistro 5 minutes away called Casa Real. Definitely would stay here each time we are in the area.
