About this villa rental
Set on 11.5 acres of mature grounds just 5 minutes from Arrowtown, Wharenui is a spacious, rustic country home offering privacy, character, and plenty of room to spread out. Sleeping up to 14 guests, it`s an ideal escape for extended families or groups of friends celebrating a special occasion together.
The main house holds five bedrooms across two living areas. The larger living room features a roaring open fire, a pool table, and a big entertainment setup, all framed by lovely mountain views. A separate, cosier den with its own fireplace offers a quieter spot for reading or watching TV. The kitchen and dining area brings everyone together around a table built for the whole group, and in the warmer months, French doors open onto the terrace for al fresco dining beneath the pergola, complete with an outdoor fireplace for balmy evenings under the stars.
A charming stone cottage on the property adds two further ensuite bedrooms and its own cosy lounge with fireplace — perfect for guests wanting a little extra privacy.
Outdoors, there`s no shortage of space to play: a swimming pool, tennis court, spa pool, sauna, sweeping lawns, and a gentle stream running through the grounds keep both kids and adults entertained.
Location is superb for exploring the region — just 5 minutes to Arrowtown, 10 minutes to Coronet Peak ski field, and 20 minutes to central Queenstown, all while enjoying a peaceful rural setting.

Great atmosphere - large spaces. Great private location. Warm - open fire. Only negative is at one end of house the twin room upstairs shares en-suite bathroom which and only be accessed through main bedroom. Not really a problem.

Lovely big house and setting, only issue was mid week cleaning didn't occur and no sky channels functioning and slightly awkward intro to the house but no major issues
