Popponesset, "Best of Poppy" Waterfront home on Deans Pond, with a private walking path and just a two house walk (3 mins) to one of the best Private Deeded Beaches in Popponesset. **(Not the 7 minute walk the web site states, they don't show the footbridge) Patio with fire pit and hot tub. Dining and entertaining on the waterfront deck is prettier than any restaurant. After dinner enjoy the fire pit and the big night sky. Early birds can witness a breathtaking sunrise each morning. Fish off the footbridge or use our rowboat or kayak on the pond. Walk up to the Popponesset Marketplace for an ice cream, coffee, pizza or shopping. One of the shortest walks to the Popponesset Inn for a wedding or dinner and drinks. Stop by the Raw Bar for one of their famous lobster rolls. Bike throughout Popponesset or to the "Spit" beach, Community House or the marina. The Community House has daily activities for children, from organized baseball and basketball to arts and crafts, road races, bingo, and a children's playground. This is the ultimate family vacation spot in a "walking friendly", private community. There is something to do for every member of the family. This was a perfect location for our long weekend stay for a wedding at the Pomponessett Inn. The host was extremely responsive regarding anything we needed and the place was in great shape and very clean. Would definitely stay again!

Was staying with my sister and elderly mother. Excellent place on pond and a short walk to pristine beach. Paul was very responsive and helpful. The only issue we had was a lack of grab bars in the bathroom for an elderly person to use for the bower/bath.

We rented this for wedding lodging for parents and family. it has a nice cottage feel. We also rented the house across the street by the same owner. It was so convenient and the house across the street was brand new and gorgeous. Dead end street and super quite neighborhood. beautiful outdoor patio and gas fire pit. highly recommend. The owner stopped by to check on things, and is such a warm, wonderful gentleman.

My husband and I rented this space for our wedding weekend. Beautiful location! The view is amazing and the beach is only a few minute walk away. Perfect for getting ready and first look. A few things to note for improvement but that didn’t really change our overall experience- The neighbor across the street was very ~interested~ in our stay. The check out time (9am) is a bit early with check out instructions to have all towels washed and folded prior to leaving. With that being said- it’s beautiful, great spot, perfect for a small wedding party.

Immaculate; spectacluar views; literally 317 steps from the property to the beach/ocean- (and note, I am short so these are small steps).. Honestly, finding this rental was simply a blessing. The trip was a brief get away after a brutal life event this past summer. We needed a perfect get away and this property absolutely filled that need. I can't say enough about how much this rental was appreciated. To the owners: enjoy for many years to come in good health. Thank you so much for sharing your gem.

Absolutely loved our stay at this property. Sitting right on the pond with a beautiful yard, this location provided peaceful views close to the beach. Beach is a short 5 minute walk. Popponessett Marketplace is half a mile walk away and provides restaurants, Ice cream , shopping and mini golf. Very family friendly area of the cape.

One week in Paradise! We have been renting this beautiful home for the past few years and have loved every minute of it! The home is spacious, clean, and welcoming. Paul Thurstan is so easy to work with and the location is breathtaking! I can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend for a family trying to get away and enjoy a beautiful beach vacation together.

The property's location is simply unbeatable, situated right on the tranquil Dean's Pond and just a short, picturesque walk over a charming bridge to the ocean. Stunning property & view. Well stocked kitchen & linens. Very true to listing! What is needed to make it perfect is a new mattress in the master bedroom-it sinks terribly in the middle. But other than that, it was a fabulous vacation with the family. Would highly recommend!😀

Great location and view. Quick walk to the beach and the marketplace. The market place has everything you need (coffee, restaurants, gift shops, etc). The water at the beach is not too cold and easy to swim in. The house had everything we needed (sheets/towels/kitchen stuff/beach chairs) Would definitely consider staying again.

Positives: very attractive home, very nicely furnished, lovely view of pond, 10 min walk to Popponesset Inn, 5 min walk to beach, hot tub, fire pit, nicely shaded outdoor seating. Negatives: one small bathroom for a three bedroom house, kitchen poorly designed - cannot open dish washer completely because door bumps into oven, one drawer unusable because it cannot be opened, seemed to be a leak from chilled water dispenser on fridge door, very small garbage bin in a cupboard, big issue: guests asked to wash, dry and fold all towels, but this requires going down to the basement using an extremely steep set of worn steps, no apparent way to switch on any lights - very dangerous, significant liability risk. I recommend removing this requirement and having a second set of towels if there are new guests checking in immediately. Have someone else wash towels with bedclothes etc., gate to hot tub needs to be fixed, device for raising hot tub cover needs fixing, the cart for hauling chairs to beach should be replaced with a quality 4-wheel cart with decent wheels

We had a wonderful weekend at the beach with our family (two young kids) before the summer season got busy. The house is comfortably appointed and very well maintained, and the outside spaces (deck and patio, grass lawn) were perfect for relaxing for guests of all ages. Being just a five minute walk to the beach was ideal, particularly for our group, and the walking paths around Dean’s Pond were another unexpected perk.

We stayed at Paul's Popponesset home for a few nights as part of a family reunion in Cape Cod. The house is clean and the location is fantastic. The adjacent Dean's Pond and the beach just beyond it are both beautiful. We especially enjoyed watching the sun rise from the big picture windows in the living room. The home was comfortable and exactly as described in the listing. If we head back to Cape Cod, I would definitely stay here again.

Our family of 4 really enjoyed our stay at this property. The view of the pond and the ocean just beyond were so pretty. Very quiet neighborhood. The house had everything we needed and more. Only thing I would say that's somewhat negative is that the chlorine in the hot tub was so intense that it literally changed the color of my brand new bathing suit and ruined it, our eyes were burning while in it and we smelled like chlorine for the rest of the day...even after showers and lots of hand washing! But, other than that, no complaints at all! I'd recommend this house for sure!
