I really enjoyed staying here. The best part was the incredibly helpful staff; I had many questions and requests and they were very helpful, especially the 3 ladies. The location is good - it’s near the bus stop and just a 15min walk to the ropeway. The hostel is very well equipped to let you prepare your own food, they even have a little store with some food and drink. Also it was very clean, even places that are sometimes blind spots like some ledges. My single room with toilet was very spacious, and my bed, duvet, and pillow were comfortable. I also extended one night and had to change to dorm room but it was great as well, still spacious and comfortable and with lockers and a sink. I also enjoyed using the huge onsen and massage chair. And I liked the relatively generous check-out time of 11am.
I got a surprise at the “shared shower” being the onsen shower (those showers by the wall with little stools in front), though I got used to it after awhile.

Location is amazing - just a short drive or 20 minute walk from the ropeway. Lovely building with great cooking space and relaxation area. Onsen is also great.
Making your own bed is a small hassle but nothing major and is common in hostels. Room was quite warm at night.

Comfortable and clean room; well-equipped and spacious communal kitchen and eating area with a breakfast of toast and jam provided; as-new washing machines and dryers; indoor and outdoor onsen; friendly and helpful staff who went above and beyond the call of duty; great location a short walk from the cable car up the mountain. Great table tennis table.

Location was great. Facility was very clean.
Shared dorm was VERY hot at night. Only showers for those guests were part of the onsen. Shared bathroom on that floor was not ideal. Required to put on and take off linens. Although not an issue, for the price point, we didn’t feel like we truly received much added value.
