Very good

The house perfectly fits for family of 4 or 5.. Its located outside of Monteverde so the car is strongly recommended. . The beds are comfortable, the heating is available for colder days. The kitchen is well eqipped.

The location is in higher parts of the mountains and it was always much worse weather than in Monteverde. Unfortunately during our stay we expirienced very strong wind and the noise was so huge that I could sleep.

Thank you so much for enhancing our Monteverde experience. The cabin was perfect for 4 + a dog!

The cabin was extremely clean and cozy. We had coffee and tea on the porch each morning, and the living space was so nice! We even took a morning walk on the property manager's finca! Can't wait to tell our friends about this spot.

Much to enjoy, farmhouse feel with amenities! not far from Santa Elena or Monte/e. Much to explore

Great camping cottage feel to the place but with upgraded appliances. lots of room with 2 bedrooms and 4 beds. The kitchen is quite huge and has everything you need. Gretel who met us and gave us instructions was a delight. She wanted us to come visit her orchid garden and it was revelationary! lots of micro species and so many names she could remember. we were very tired by the time we got there, we mostly just recovered. There were some beautiful pieces of wood used for the outdoor seating area handrails and many special touches thruout.

could have added some cozier furniture in the front part of the space as it is a kinda wasted space at the moment. gas bbq would have been a much appreciated thing to have. There was a mild sewage smell coming from the pipes in the washroom. That might be a hard one but a gentle air spray would work. The worst part was the wild wind that whips up there. hard to enjoy being outside on the beautiful porch area when you feel you might get swept away!! Overall we thoroughly enjoyed it

The stay was nice.

The driveway is a little bit bad. We had only a small car (no SUV with 4x4) and we were afraid we won't be able to get there.

Overall good experiance despite a few hiccups.

The house is close to Santa Elena Cloud Forest Reserve. It's private. Birds woke us up at sunrise. Good value for the price.

There was a delay in getting directions to the house. I had to call the owner to get the info with less than 24 hours before arriving. I wish there was more information about the road condition leading to the house. The owner told us to follow Google Maps. Route 619 was recommended. It was a long drive on an unpaved road with lots of potholes, steep inclines and sharp turns. I would recommend using paved Rt. 606 if coming from Tilaran to Santa Elena, then Rt. 619 from Santa Elena to the house (much shorter distance on an unpaved road. Even though locals use 2-wheel drive cars I would strongly recommend 4-wheel drive car with high clearance. The owner wanted to charge us extra for using laundry, even though it was included in the price. She eventually allowed us to use it with no additional cost. A few minor items would also go a long way in providing better experiance. There were 2 matches in the match box, no kitchen stove lighter. There was no salt or paper towels. We had to ask for extra roll of toilet paper.

Exceptional

We loved the house a lot! The weather was terrible and it felt nice and cozy to stay inside and enjoy the rain through the huge windows. The kitchen was equipped with everything needed and we really enjoyed to use it. Communication with owner was very good and we felt that they care about their property a lot. I would suggest to arrive to the house during the daylight time because the roads in the area are not easy. But it’s part of the experience:)

Nice location and great nature.

Nice location in the mountain. Close to 100% adventuras.

We had little or no hot water to shower in. Slow internet. This is far up in the mountain so I guess it’s hard to expect more from a mobile router (I had no cellular coverage at all on my cellphone).
