We had a wonderful stay at Doug and Nica’s beautiful home. The location is ideal with close access to many of our favorite spots in the Finger Lakes region and beautiful views of Lake Cayuga. The amenities were so helpful especially the well stocked kitchen and the canoe. We hope to visit again!

This is a wonderful location on the lake with a home that provides plenty of space both inside and out! Our family if ten found multiple ways to play games, enjoy water sports and campfires. I highly recommend this location. Many thanks to Doug and Veronica!

We had an absolutely wonderful time at your house. The bedrooms worked out perfectly, as did the big dining room table for meals and especially games. We ate several meals out at the picnic table and loved using the grill. The decks were so nice for lounging, reading and catching up with each other. Had lots of fun at the waterfront area, especially the kids with marco polo etc. We were able to put our kayak in at deans landing and paddle over to uour dock for the week. We used each one of your boats at some time or another. So beautiful. Had smores around the fire on our last night together. LOVED the kitchen! It was very easy to work together to make some pretty good meals. Loved our wine tasting at Buttonwood winery. Your place is the perfect location to see Taughannock state park, Buttermilk falls and even a college visit to Rochester. Our only complaint was that the Canada wildfire smoke made for several murky days where you couldn't see the other side of the lake. It was like a moonscape. Certainly not your fault. Even Watkins Glen and Senaca was fogged in. Made for some mysterious views... pretty hard to predict that kind of situation! Your house was just perfect for our family. Our family with adults and 2 preschoolers had a really lovely time at this VRBO. Doug was very responsive to our concerns about enough seating inside for meals since the pictures showed 4 chairs at the dining room table. We were able to fit 11 chairs to the table. The house was very clean and a beautifully remodeled kitchen fully equipped with what we needed and we ate most of our meals at the house. The owner was also quick to respond when we locked ourselves out of the house. We loved the dock for fishing and the kayak, canoe, and row boat added great enjoyment for our group. It’s definitely a very comfortable home! We would definitely return if coming to the area again!

This is a great property! Excellent views, the ability to sit on the dock, or sit under the shade of a tree while sitting by the water. The deck is impressive with a view of the water. The house is well stocked with every kitchen utensil we needed. We had 6 adults, ranging in age from 37 to 71 and 2 children, 11 and 13. We always had something to do - sit by the water, canoeing, kayaking, hiking and biking. Several eagle and osprey sightings added to the good times. There were also plenty of board and card games available. We even got the teens to put their screen down for several bonfires with s’mores. We’ve stayed at VRBO locations from Michigan to Vermont, and this was, by far, the best stay for the entire extended family.

Simply the best
Just can’t say enough good things about this wonderful house! Our multigenerational family group of 7 with ages ranging from 11-70, were there got a week, Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. What’s not to like??? The gorgeous lake views from the two level decks, the beach and dock with boats, floats, chairs, and fishing poles. Even an old willow tree that provided shade.
We cooked in the renovated kitchen which has everything you could ever want for preparing farm to table meals. We grilled outside and had s’mores by the outdoor wood fire pit. We also played board games by the gas fire pit on the deck.
This house has comfortable beds, excellent air conditioning and a great TV for movies after dark.
The kids especially loved the fireflies and bunnies that come out at night. The older kids loved the Buttonwood Winery right across the street (Wine slushies!) and the beer garden right down the road.
We loved our stay so much we already booked two weeks next summer, thanks so much!!!

Relaxing, peaceful, beautiful
very clean, lots of space, the dock and lake are wonderful. 3 generations of family were able to enjoy each other, the lake, and wine country. The Cayuga Lake Creamery was a favorite with the kids as was jumping off the end of the dock!!!

An amazing stay on the Cayuga lake
The property is very well equipped and clean. Location is perfect, a very nice winery is located just across the road and can be reached by foot. But the best part was the outside sitting area with a beautiful deck and an amazing view + a private little beach with a fire pit. We loved it!

Perfect Weekend Getaway
Willow Haven was too good to be true!! It was one of THE BEST properties we have stayed at in a long time! It was super clean, well stocked with linens, kitchen basics, games, etc. The view is absolutely SPECTACULAR! There is plenty of space for a large group! It’s also in a perfect location- plenty of wineries and hiking trails close by! We did not want to go home! Thank you for an incredible weekend Doug and Nica!! Everyone wants to return one day!!

Wine and Waterfall Weekend 2021
Willow Haven is beautiful home on a gorgeous property. The house is both cozy and spacious and spotlessly clean. The bedrooms and comfortable beds were perfect for our group of seven adults. We had some rain so we did not get to take full advantage of the deck seating and views. We enjoyed beautiful sunrises on the lake and a lovely sunset as well. Couldn't get enough of the lake views and enjoying the waterfront.. The location is great with easy access to hiking restaurants and wineries. The new well equipped kitchen is a nice bonus as well. We are all looking forward to a return visit.

Amazing lake house for family
Property was even better than the pictures. Kitchen is stocked with any and all utensils you might need. The house is close to so many fun attractions, and was neat and clean upon arrival. The owner is extremely responsive and accommodating and we’re bummed that the place is already booked for this week next year!! I would absolutely recommend. Another review mentioned bringing water shoes for the beach and it was a great tip.

We spent lots of time by the water - we brought our kayaks and enjoyed the water. The house was clean, spacious and one of the best stocked vacation houses I’ve ever stayed in. Good quality kitchen tools, a d appliances- even had some spices and seasonings!

This house was a great place for our family of 5 plus 3 friends. The house was very clean, the kitchen was well-stocked and recently updated. The inside is very spacious, allowing our group to spread out hen needed. The outdoors is more spacious than the pictures show. There is a multi level deck with a propane powered fire pit and a great view of the lake and a big yard with a fire pit. The beach is down the steps and removed from the house, with another fire pit and a dock, as well as a kayak and canoe. The college-age kids spent a lot of time hanging on the beach and dock. Great location, reasonably close to Taughannock Falls and Seneca Falls. Would stay here again with a large group. Thanks!

Beautiful Setting Perfect for a Large Group
Doug’s property was fantastic. I went with a group of ten girls for a bachelorette party. We were within walking distance to wineries and nightlife, but also had a wonderful time staying at the house and hanging out on the deck and private beach. Doug was very responsive and accommodating. The house was clean and exactly as pictured—they even left a lovely bottle of local wine for us! I would highly recommend this property for a family vacation or a group looking for a relaxing way to Mark a special occasion!

It was so nice to walk across the street to buttonwood, which was one of our favorite wineries on the trail. All in all the outdoor space was amazing and the bedrooms were very spacious.

Fantastic lake house
What a place and location right on Cayuga lake! The house was the perfect size for our group of 10 and a dog. We loved the private dock and lake activities - canoeing, swimming, fishing. Would recommend bringing water shoes though since the lakefront is quite rocky. Thanks Doug for being a great host!

Excellent Property
We are a family of 12 ranging in age from 2-72. We also had three dogs with us. The house was more than big enough to accommodate all of us. The beach is beautiful and private. We had a fantastic time!

Perfection at Willow Haven!
Had a wonderful family vacation including our two dogs, which the fenced in area did work out well. The home had everything to make our visit very enjoyable and comfortable. Make sure to review the binders of information, very detailed and helpful. The view from the deck was amazing. The rowboat came in handy for our fisherman. Visiting the local wineries and wine tastings were fun! Having Buttonwood Winery right across the way was convenient, and Friday night music was great. We went to Watkins Glen to see waterfalls. We went to Seneca Falls to see the bridge that inspired Frank Capra for It's a Wonderful Life movie, and we went to the It's A Wonderful Life museum. Seneca Falls also the place of the first Women's Rights convention! Doug Belanger was very responsive to all my questions prior to getting there. Had no issues during our stay. Don't forget to bring makings for smores for campfires! Thank you Doug and Veronica for the delicious welcoming Buttonwood bottle of red wine!

A perfect spot! We enjoyed swimming off the dock, renting a boat and enjoying the lake (hidden gem), hiking to the Falls, going to the Nature Center, visiting wineries and campfires! The house was very clean, beds were so comfortable, central air was great! The house had everything we needed. Thank you!!

Family Vacation 2019
Our family enjoyed your vacation home so much. We enjoyed the sunrise every morning. The view of the lake was spectacular. We brought our dogs and the fenced in yard was great. The week we were there it was the hottest and the air conditioning was wonderful. The kitchen had everything!!!! To sum it up We had a awesome week . Thank You so much for the memories.
