Bright and spacious apartment of 70 m² on the ground containing 2 bedrooms, a large living room (32 m²) and 2 terraces of 2x7 m² allowing to have lunch / dinner outside and take full advantage of the view Holiday apartment, ideally located 1.7km from Lake Annecy, with the mountains in the background and enjoying the charm and calm of the authentic small village of Lathuile (church and town hall at 130 m, restaurants at 300 m ). Annecy at 18 km - Doussard at 2 km (town equipped with pharmacy, butcher, supermarket ...) For a successful holiday: guaranteed relaxation and oxygenation with numerous cultural and sports activities nearby Bright and spacious apartment of 70 m² on the ground, located on the 2nd floor of a typical Savoyard house from the 18th century, it contains 2 bedrooms, a large living room with large picture window (3 French windows) and 2 terraces for lunch / dinner outside and take full advantage of the lake and mountain views. A large living room of 32 m² includes the kitchen area, the dining room and the living room (equipped with a sofa bed and a 40 ’’ TV) The first bedroom of 13m² offers 2 single beds (which can be combined into a double bed) and a cot. The second bedroom is in the attic of 20 m² on the ground, equipped with velux windows, accessible by the internal staircase: equipped with a double bed and 2 single beds (which are in fact simply good mattresses placed on the ground, allowing thus to easily modify the configuration of the rooms: a mattress can easily be put in the 1st room). All bedding is new (purchased in 2019). The bathroom has a bathtub and a washing machine So, with the sofa bed in the living room, it contains 8 beds (+ baby), but its maximum capacity is 6 people (+1 baby). Equipment provided: In addition to the basic equipment, you will find a 40 '' TV, WiFi internet access, washing machine, Nespresso coffee machine, Table + chairs on the balcony, raclette, fondue, music system, hair dryer, many games, many books, baby booster, cot, satellite TV. A mini outdoor ski room is also available, at the bottom of the stairs. A second terrace is also for your exclusive use at the intermediate level. LOCATION: The beach and the Doussard nautical base, located just 1.8 km away, offer: swimming, volleyball, tennis, mini-golf, children's games, restaurants, tourist office, sailing lessons and catamaran rentals, dinghies, windsurfing boards, kayaks and canoes. Good points: Location brilliant with beautiful views of the lake and mountain. Lathuile is a pretty, tranquil village,close to the beach at Doussard, restaurants and shops. The apartment was peaceful. Rent reasonable, we needed a property at relatively short notice and this was available. Lake Annecy is well worth visiting and we thoroughly enjoyed our time in the area. Bad points: The description of the property advertised on Homeaway is not accurate. There may be Wifi in the apartment but it was unreliable and weak to the point of not being able to use it, as it kept dropping out and when it did work it was very slow. The descriptions says there are 100's of television channels in multiple languages, there aren't. It was clear from the apartment welcome book that there had been at some point, but this was all crossed out. There is also no Nespresso machine, only an ordinary filter coffee machine. The description assures that the apartment has been redecorated and will not look like the photos. This is inaccurate too, as the apartment looks exactly like the photos, and certainly had not been redecorated. Worse still the condition of the apartment was poor. When we arrived one of the armchairs had a broken leg and was unusable. An electrical box was hanging off the wall, although we were assured this was not dangerous. The shower in the bath had a broken lever which switches the water between bath and shower, and the sink in the bathroom was cracked. The washing machine also did not work at first because the tap to it had been turned off and the handle was broken. It generally gave the impression of being poorly maintained. I would struggle to recommend the apartment to families with young children as the stairs to the loft as incredibly steep, creaky, and wobbly. The loft hatch was unsecured and had the habit of closing with much noise and force on top of anyone climbing the stairs. The bannisters at the top were also very wobbly and appeared unsafe. Again, we managed with this as our children are older and more sensible. Considering the large security deposit we had to pay at the time of booking, we at least expected the apartment to be well maintained and faults and breakages to be fixed. We have stayed at many Homeaway rentals, both in England, France and the USA and this was certainly the worse in terms of upkeep. If it were completely refurbished it could be a very nice apartment but is not at present.

Nous avons été ravis d’avoir passé ces 13 jours à Lathuile. Le cadre est magnifique, une belle vue sur le lac d’Annecy. L’appartement était copie conforme à la description, tout est propre et tout est à disposition. L’endroit est hyper calme. Nous comptons revenir très vite. Nous voulons remercier le propriétaire Mr Haquin de nous avoir permis de profiter de cet endroit magnifique et également Patricia qui est fort sympathique.
