Peaceful area and authentic village

An isolated village where you can find peace and views of the Himalayas with cobbled paths, flowers, fruit trees, goats and where they even produce their own delicious honey.
The few inhabitants of the village are very friendly and respectful.
We stayed there with our 3 year old daughter and 1 year old son and they took care of us with everything we needed and even the kids were able to help with easy and fun day to day tasks.
The houses you stay in are a gem and restored and decorated with great taste.
The host is a charming retired Sherpa who makes you feel right at home. The meals are generous and very tasty.
From the main H04 road (Prithvi Highway that connects Kathmandu to Pokhara) you have to detour 25km to Riepe and it is well worth it.
On the way to Pokhara we stayed in Bandipur, but on the way back we were lucky to stay in the small village of Riepe to be able to live with the day-to-day life of a self-sufficient village.

A simple, delightful, 'off the main route' village. The villagers go about their daily routine while we enjoyed the glorious setting. Food is fresh and delicious. Rooms have all one needs. Glorious views!
At present, no wifi. It is possible to access internet with a Nepali sim card. Apart from that; country life at its absolute best. Will visit again at the very next opportunity to see our Riepe 'family'.
