We stayed for eleven days during July 2018. The photographs don't do the place justice. Lovely location and one kilometre from the village centre. Spotless chalet and very well equipped. We holidayed with our son and his partner and our grandson.
We had everything we needed. We had plenty of space, and our two French Bulldogs enjoyed lazy days on the decking out front. Paulette, the owner could not have been more helpful. The chalet has been in family hands since 1935 - it is lovingly restored and has lots of character and period furnishings. We had a top time and would not hesitate to book again. The chalet now has WiFi which proved very useful as we run our own business and accessed our emails daily.

Notre famille a adoré le chalet. Il est bien situé, près du centre ville mais pas trop, à 5min du parc des Pontets qui a beaucoup d’activités pour les enfants, proche de sentiers de randonnées. Et les Contamines restent toujours plus fraîches que le reste de la vallée donc en été c’est un plaisir. Le chalet est grand et bien équipé. On s’y sent comme à la maison de suite. Par contre il faut apporter ses propres draps et linge de toilette et pour nous, venant des États-Unis ce n’est pas facile. La propriétaire a répondu rapidement à mes messages et a été accommodante. Une adresse que nous garderons.
Our family loved the chalet. It is convenient located, close to the town center it not too much (no noise or traffic), it is a 5min drive to the Parc des Pontets where there are lots of activities for kids, and it is close to hiking trails.
Les Contamines also stays cooler than the rest of the valley which is very pleasant in the summer!
It is big and well equipped. It feels cozy, we felt at home right away. Bed and bathroom linens are not included, you have to bring your own which is not convenient when coming from abroad like us.
The owner answered all my messages quickly and was friendly. We’ll definitely keep the address!
