The Perfect:
Property owner was very friendly and available. House was clean with plenty of space, supplies, and fun games. Beds were VERY comfortable, and being a coffee enthusiast, there were plenty of preparation options. My family of 7 and 1 dog loved having access to horse viewing in both front and back of property (cool mini horse that’s fat and rolls around on the ground). The house was warm, and plenty of hot water for everyone. 3.2 miles from the beach, and 3 minutes from restaurants, grocery stores, and 15 minutes to the board walk, which was extremely convenient. Family members ages 22-83, dog age 9, all approved and had a great time.
The Bad:
VRBO charges ridiculous fees on top of the rental cost, and taxes are insane. I understand the politics of it (padding hotel lobbyists pockets), but it takes half the money the owner could receive. Honestly, I would’ve gladly paid the owner more if it meant less taxes and fees. That’s simply not fair to the owner.

Our family got together to celebrate my husband's 70th birthday. The house was perfect! It was big enough that we weren't tripping over each other (6 adults, 3 teens, a 6 year old and 3 dogs) but cozy enough to be enjoyable. The grandchildren loved feeding the horses! All in all, a great trip!

Positives. Large house met our needs. Horses were great. Enjoyed hot tub and firepit. Lots of food nearby. Negatives. Some beds would not be useful to most groups. Sunlights above beds ruin sleep. You have to spend your last evening there cleaning because with all the cleaning you are required to do checking out by 10am is tough (wash, dry, put away dishes, wash, dry, put away towels, sort and remove trash).

Great, big home. Pleanty of room for all the family. The home is very conveniently located. It was minutes to grocery, beach, restaurants. We took a hike at a national forest. What I enjoyed the most was playing pool and having an outside fire with the grandkids. Plenty of activities for the family. I am definitely planning on returning!

This is a beautiful property owned by great people. The house is roomy where everyone can have their own space but many places to hang out together as well. Wonderful views of their horse farm from front and back windows. Horses are friendly and beautiful. Dave the owner/property manager was very friendly and attentive. Easy access to beach. Close to town but feels peaceful and secluded. Great neighborhood quiet and feels safe. I would highly recommend this vacation rental you will enjoy it with no worries.

Overall, we loved our stay here. There were between 8 - 10 of us since we didn't arrive at the same time. The most enjoyable amenities were the pool, the hot tub, and the sauna. We played pool, had smores at the firepit, fed the horses, and visited the beaches. We did, though, have some disappointments. For example, there was no bath soap, insufficient toilet paper and paper towels, hardly any laundry detergent, and no salt and pepper. We had to purchase all of these items. The air conditioner in the house wasn't working correctly the first day but was fixed the next day. The air conditioner in the room with the pool table stopped working. I think if the owner had been present, maybe, he could have attended to these items, however, he was away. There were several little things that should have been fixed, however, they didn't take away for the great fun and relaxation we experienced here.

We had our first family vacation. There were 10 of us and we were spread out nicely throughout the house. The house had all the amenities you could think of. The host, Dave showed up on our first day and gave us the lay of the land. He also responded very quickly and came back when we had a couple questions because we couldn't figure something out. Everything was clean. A little worn in places, but that just means it's loved. The horses were an added bonus for us to enjoy watching every day and they loved all the carrots we fed them. Our family had a great time hanging out and making new memories together.

This was our first family vacation to Sandbridge, VA and we fell in love with this area and space. This property was spacious, fully stocked kitchen, and lots of things for our family to do. Close to the beach but yet far away enough to have privacy. We loved our daily visits from the horses and swim in the pool after the beach. We plan to vacation in this area again in the future.

We had a lovely family vacation. While we did venture out to the aquarium, dolphin tour and aviation museum, we spent more time at the VRBO. We played pool, fuse ball. And learned how terrible we are at ping pong. The hot tub on the front deck was a lovely place to spend the afternoon. We watched the horses from breakfast on the front deck and from the picnic area out the back door in the evening.
We have two family members in wheelchairs. The owner checked on us the first night and went above and beyond to ensure we were able to access their beds.
We have two dogs. It is rare to find a location that allows animals and is wheelchair accessible. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

We had a great time time, and the house/property was probably one of the main reasons. We were there 5 days and it rained 3 three of those days. The living area is giant and we spent a lot of time there playing games and being together as a family. We cooked three big meals and the kitchen was big enough with more than enough supplies to make those meals. We would definite stay there again! It was close to the beach and also grocery stores/walmart and restaurants

We really liked this property. There were 14 of us total from 50yrs old to 7 months old. The area was great lots to do and places to eat at. The house is in a nice quiet neighborhood. The set up of the rooms was a little odd but it worked ok for us. Had some trouble with the internet but that could have just been a fluke for us. There are few minor things that could use some updating especially for price of the rental. The owners were very nice and prompt at responding to any issues! Overall we still give it 4 stars 🌟

David was extremely accommodating during our stay. We had an issue with the washer and he was there in no time at all to resolve the issue... The pictures do not do this house justice... It had everything we needed and more. Beach is only a short drive away. Only thing I didn't like was that we didn't book longer.

We had an amazing stay at the Seahorse! Lots of room for family and kids to spread out inside and out! Great layout with a master suite wing, plenty of bathroom area for all! Pool table and game room were loved by the kids! Bonus outdoor views with horses ready to greet you every morning! (They loved the apple slices we shared) very close to the beach, shopping, and dining! We will definitely be back! The owner was amazing and very helpful! 😊

Great and gracious hosts provided a wonderful home in a very convenient location while we were in Virginia Beach for my oldest son's Celebration of Life. This home has virtually everything that any age group(s) might enjoy or require, including a hot tub and sauna, comfortable beds and is fully stocked for cooking, playing or relaxing. My granddaughters will always remember getting to be near and interact with the horses.

House is beautiful and large, very charming and welcoming. Pet friendly a bonus. When they say they have supplies and accommodations they mean it. They had children toys, furniture, even a stroller, we didn’t need them but impressive they had them. Lots of room to move around and plenty to do. Don’t need to leave the property if unwinding is in your plan. Close to grocery and other shopping as well as restaurants. I highly recommend. And if the opportunity arises will rent it again.

This has been the WORST VACATION OF MY LIFE! The property and hosts were fine and I only gave them one star for cleanliness due to the bed bug problem that they acquired shortly before we arrived. Unfortunately, despite all of their efforts, they were not able to correct this in time.
Even though the owners offered a refund, Vrbo has provided us with NO support, NO response, they have NOT addressed the issue after many calls and emails. I have been EXTREMELY patient with Vrbo but this lack of response from them means that trying to be patient, reasonable, and civil is not working...

My family absolutely loved staying at the Seahorse. We especially loved waking up to the horses everyday. The house is spacious and stocked with everything we needed. The owners were so kind and accommodating. They said they have many groups that come back every year and I can definitely see why! We are already planning our next trip!!

Female cousins from Pennsylvania, Ohio, and South Carolina come together to enjoy each other’s company once a year. This venue was a perfect location and met everyone’s needs. The horse lovers thoroughly enjoyed the colt Coco, who seemed to thoroughly enjoy their company also. The large dining room table was a great place for those of us who like to craft. And the master suite provided enough privacy when you just needed a moment to yourself. We enjoyed the hot tub after a day of walking the boardwalk in nearby Virginia Beach. And the seclusion of Sandbridge beach afforded a quiet afternoon of sunshine and surf. David was great checking in with us throughout our stay; and very accommodating when an unforeseen need arose. We definitely recommend staying here and would do so again.

Our honest feedback for future renters because this information would have been helpful to us.
Some positives:
The owner is available and quick to respond to issues/questions while you are on the property.
The owner is friendly and gave good suggestions on activities, places to eat.
Upon arrival, the owner informed us right away that the washer and treadmill were broken. He replaced the washer within a few days.
It's a large house, good for large groups, with ample eating/sitting areas.
The kitchen had pretty much everything we needed during our stay.
The fridge/freezer cooled well, and the ice machine worked great.
The pool turned out better than expected. It was clean and well maintained.
The jacuzzi was also clean and well maintained.
There is plenty of parking and outdoor space.
It's also dog friendly which was great.
Some negatives:
Part of front door handle was taped up and it was difficult to push down on the lever to open the door. Almost no one could open it.
House was quite hot on arrival and it took awhile to cool down, but it eventually did.
The Game Room was hotter. Only on our 4th day did the a/c cool it down enough for us to enter.
The Cameo Appearance bedroom is listed as having a king bed, but it has a queen. This bedroom can only be accessed by walking through one of the other two bedrooms located on either side of this room. This was awkward and inconvenient for us. You may have to walk through other people sleeping in the other two bedrooms in order to get to The Cameo Appearance.
The Cameo Appearance bedroom, along with some other rooms, had noticeable dirty air vents. It was hard to figure out what was inside, but they did not look clean. We told the owner about this, and he had someone come to clean the dryer vents.
The Cadet Blue bedroom does not have a door at all so privacy is not possible.
One bathroom does not have a door. Instead, there is a shower curtain hanging to keep the toilet room private. We did not feel comfortable using that toilet.
The bedsheets in some of the rooms had a "wet mop" smell. This was brought up to the owner who provided replacement sheets right away.
At check-out, while stripping the beds, we discovered bedbugs in one bed. We informed the owner right away. He responded and has told us of the steps he has taken to fix the situation. Unfortunately, those that slept in that bed were bitten by the bedbugs. It was a very traumatic end to our trip.

My family and I enjoyed our week long stay at this vacation home. The house is very spacious which is perfect when you need separation time. Plenty of outdoor sitting options. The pool was bigger than what it looked in the pictures which was a nice surprise. We loved the hot tub as well. There's so many things to do at the house alone which is great for staying in days. We all enjoyed the horses and our children loved feeding them apples. The owners responded quickly on the app with any questions prior to the stay, and David was a wobderful property host and was attentive to all questions and any issues we had. Everything was taken care of promptly. Overall, it was a great stay for family!

The home, the pool, the hot tub, and the sauna were all very nice. The owner was always around or available, which is nice to have instead of a managing company. The stables were wrapped around the property and a new pony was born while we were there. The house is 7 minutes from Sandbridge Beach, which is 1000% nicer than Virginia Beach (30 minutes north and closer to Oceana NAB and all the jet traffic). Local eateries were great (Whiskey Kitchen, Pungo Pizza, and Blue Pete's) which were suggested by the owner when we asked (so we can stay away from the big box and support local small business').

We had the best time at this property. Pool, hot tub and the horses made this vacation stay so much fun. The location is the best with being in a very safe neighborhood with restaurants and shops close by and the beach was only a very short drive down the street…very convenient. I highly recommend!
