About this house rental
This luxury furnished home with panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean is located on a pristine pink sandy beach. The secluded beach is ideal for swimming, snorkeling, lobstering, spear fishing, strolling, and beachcombing . Generator with automatic transfer switch recently added and cistern is used. You don't have to worry about not having water and electricity which happens regularly. In addition, water purifying system has been added and the ice and water dispensed from the refrigerator are excellent for drinking along with a special faucet at the sink has purified water.
Jolly Mon's main floor has a British Colonial decor with a master bedroom, 1.5 bathrooms, kitchen, with top of the line appliances, great room, and veranda. The great room features a flat panel SMART TV and stereo system with iPod docking and Alexa with Sirius XM for music to be enjoyed throughout the home and veranda. Wireless internet, and satellite TV are provided, air conditioning is available, although the ocean breeze flows through the home because of the elevation and not only keeps it cool but allows you to enjoy the sounds of the ocean.
The loft area has a separate bedroom with a king size bed, a sitting area and office area and a full spa bathroom, with dual sinks, shower and a spa tub that has elevated, breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean.
There is a nautical decorated studio on the lower floor with a private entrance, queen bed, futon, kitchen area, and bathroom with shower. If more than four guest in the party there is additional fee of $50 per person to cover the additional cost for the studio. (The cost is calculated into the quote.) If you have less than 4 guest and want to include the studio it is an additional $100 per night.

Jolly Mon is located on a 2.5 acre estate lot on North Shore Dr. (Old Banks Road) in North Palmetto Point. This magical place is only 10 minutes south of Governor's Harbour and 25 minutes south of GHB airport and a little over an hour drive to ELH, North Eleuthera airport. You are centrally located on this 110 mile long island which makes exploring very convenient. You will enjoy some of the best beaches in the Caribbean and be able to take your pick between watching a sunrise or a sunset!
There are many wonderful restaurants on the island and are provided in our guest book. If you like to cook in a gourmet kitchen, you can buy fresh fish most days at the harbour dock or wave or kayak to the fisherman in front of Jolly Mon to bring a fresh catch.

We have rented many homes over the years for our family vacations, and Jolly Mon is by far our favorite.The house was incredibly clean, beautifully maintained, and had absolutely everything we needed for a comfortable stay. From the moment we arrived, it felt like home.The view from Jolly Mon simply cannot be explained in words. The photos look amazing, but they still do not compare to actually being there in person. Every morning and evening felt unreal.The beach at Jolly Mon is one of the best we experienced on all of Eleuthera. During our entire week there, we only saw one other person on the beach, and they were more than 100 yards away. It truly felt private and peaceful.We spent our days swimming and playing in the ocean, building sand castles, kayaking, and snorkeling right from the beach in front of the house. We explored the island throughout the week, but every time we returned, we were grateful to be coming back to Jolly Mon.After full days of adventure, we loved coming back for family movie nights almost every evening. We cooked meals together, had the convenience of laundry when needed, and simply enjoyed being together in such an incredible place.Jolly Mon gave our family the perfect balance of adventure, relaxation, comfort, and unforgettable beauty. We cannot wait to come back. Next time we may not leave the house except to shop and eat. :-)

The view from the patio on the bluff overlooking the beach is absolutely spectacular. To have a beach and water like this to yourself is why you come to Eleuthera. We snorkeled the reefs right off the beach and saw fish, sharks, rays, and even a live conch. On calm days, we stayed at our own beach rather than drive to other Atlantic beaches. I just can’t see how any of them could be better. Plus, having the convenience of the house right there for cocktails and snacks was perfect. We probably spent more time up on the loungers at the top of the patio overlooking the beach than on the beach itself. On the windy days, we went to either Cocodimama (listed on Google Maps as Receiver’s Beach) or Ten Bay Beaches. Both were spectacular and we recommend you try both. Unlike Cocodimama, Ten Bay has very limited parking, and I can see it getting full with not enough room to turn around, which would mean backing down a narrow road to a spot wide enough to turn around. The Queens Baths up the coast offers spectacular big wave watching if you get a day with stronger surf.The house needs a little TLC (minor things, mostly caused by guests), but we would still come back in a heartbeat. The only detractor is the cost of dining out! We had no desire to spend a vacation cooking, so we ate out at some good nearby restaurants every evening. Finally, Jane was amazing to deal with and helped us out with so much. If we can ever afford Eleuthera again, this is where we’ll come back to!
