Stayed in Chalet #1 for one night.
Unit was impecably clean and tidy.
Arrival and departure was smooth and inspection of the chalet done with the guests present and deposit released immediately.
Mariette and the staff were very attentive and efficient.
We unfortunately didn't eat at the restaurant as we had an appointment at the Owl Rescue Centre.
The location of the Cock & Bull is ideal for exploring Hartebeestpoort area, everything is within ~ a ten minute drive.
The Bathroom was a oleasant surprise - there's a bath and a double shower!
That we didn't book two nights.

The Garden chalets are the most well equipped and comfortable chalets we have been in. It's our 2nd time there. It's also serviced which is a bonus. Nice big bathroom and double shower and bath. Air con in the room especially nice because it was so hot. Beautiful big trees that gives you plenty of shade. Nice to have a restaurant on site if you don't feel like cooking. Mariette was lovely and checked in on us as well.
A couple of little things but it's personal preferences so not really worth mentioning.

Location great and convenient. Perfect for stopovers or for Harties. Just a well managed all amenitieds, value for money and excellent food - pub grub was awesome. Spent all day on the last day with the family in the pool and the bar, live DJ. This place is spot on and Marriette and all the staff were great.

The garden was well kept and the room seemed clean with a strong dettol smell when you enter. It was quiet when we returned from our function at 22:00 as no noise is allowed after 21:00. The aircon was pure bliss in the heat. The showers were hot
In a world that is going cashless they insisted on a R500 CASH breakage deposit, I don't ever carry any cash with me anywhere. We then indicated that we wanted to leave at 06:00 due do our planned hike the next morning. At 05:30 the not so friendly staff member was there to do her room inspection. My partner was still packing her bag when the lady stood next to het wanting to open the bed to inspect the linen, never in my LIFE has that been done to me at any establishment anywhere in the world. I feel sorry for them if that is what is required by their normal clientele. There was only one spoon for the coffee.
