Located in Lake Ann, this lovely house for $346 per night is a great option for your next vacation. Approx. 2200 sq. ft. home with expansive views of protected (no wake) Bryan lake thru great Oaks. Large deck, paddle boat, canoe, and row boat to enjoy beautiful Bryan Lake. Quiet location at end of Locust Dr provides scenic views of water for all seasons. Home fully furnished for those looking for a peaceful time watching birds or wildlife. Near Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes, Interlochen Arts Academy, Lake Ann Camp, or beautiful Traverse City bay front. Great restaurants with in 30 min drive in quaint lake front towns of Leland, Leelenau, Glen Arbor, Northport or Suttons Bay, and local shops in Lake Ann. Lake Ann (the lake) is a full all-sports lake only a couple hundred feet south, with a public beach within walking distance and a boat launch 5 miles away. Enjoy a quiet week on the water, or get out and see the sights in beautiful Benzie, Grand Traverse or Leelenau counties. This place is our home away from home, and we love to share it with others.

Way more than we expected! Well stocked kitchen, plenty of living space on 2 floors, everything we needed was available. A very clean and comfortable home located on a private lake. Owners were in touch and left clear instructions. We travel to Lake Ann twice a year and would love to stay again!

As previous reviewers stated: quiet lake, clean home, easy to work with owners. We enjoyed the lake for fishing, exploring nature, and taking rides in paddle boat. There is a sandy area that kids waded in next to one side of the dock. No beach to play on but we did that on our day trips to Lake Michigan. Swimming on Lake Bryan was ok. Small area by dock and then weeds a little ways out that swam through to get to deeper water without weeds. Kids preferred swimming at Lake Michigan and did most of that there. Things that I brought but should’ve left at home: beach toys, spices for cooking, games/cards. Things I didn’t bring but wished I had: alarm clock. My kids are too small for cell phones and there are no clocks in bedrooms. And as early risers children struggled with “No one gets out of bed before _____” Overall had an amazing week. Would come back to this home again without hesitation.

There are road trips, sightseeing trips and vacations. This is a perfect vacation spot. The lake is peaceful and beautiful. The house is comfortable and stocked better than any vacation home I have ever rented. The owners will make you feel like their guests. We chose this location because it was close to Platte River Point. If you’ve never been there it’s a must. The town of Lake Ann is charming and has everything you need. This may have been the best vacation I have ever taken. Many thanks to the owners for preparing a perfect place.

Quiet Lake Trip
A wonderful lake front property on a quiet lake (No speedboats or jet skis).
There is a great deck with room for everyone, fully equipped kitchen and a firepit.
Lake Ann is a quaint little town with restaurants and groceries.

This home is well taken care of, extremely clean, and had everything we needed for comfort and day-to-day living. The owners have thought of everything, and then some. We enjoyed exploring the lake and the nature surrounding it.
We took the paddle boat out nearly every day, at least once, and the boat every evening for fishing. The beds and living room furniture were quite comfortable and there were plenty of things to do at the house. The location is perfect for visiting Fishtown in Leland (if you get a chance, eat at Rick's Cafe on the dock!), Traverse City, Sleeping Bear Dunes, and more.
We enjoyed the quaint little "downtown," a few blocks from the cabin, where we ate a couple of times and visited the ice cream place. A couple of nights they had live music out behind the Stone Oven restaurant where there are many picnic tables for people to sit, eat and enjoy. Everyone we interacted with was very friendly.
The Internet worked great, as well as the TV. The grill was relatively new and we took advantage of that a couple of nights.
I appreciate the Shields opening their home and entrusting us to care for it while enjoying some much-needed time away from the craziness of work. We will definitely consider returning and highly recommend this clean and cozy home.

Bryan Lake Cottage
We enjoyed our week on Bryan Lake. The house is very big and well maintained. The lake is lovely - spring fed with pretty clear water and some vegetation. My wife enjoyed swimming each day and I was able to fish each day. Caught lots of bass but nothing really big. Steve had told me that would be the case. Good location for visiting Lake Michigan and Traverse City. The only suggestion I would have is to upgrade the outdoor grill. It seems quite old and is rusting so we chose not to use it. But overall a very enjoyable stay.

Beautiful, peaceful, and convenient
We truly enjoyed our stay at this home. The house is clean, has a great view, and has all the conveniences of a home away from home. The house is perfectly placed for trips to Sleeping Bear Dunes, Traverse City, etc. Steve is a wonderful communicator. Thanks for opening up your home. I highly recommend this place.

This is our third time staying here because we love the Lelanau area and this peaceful home gives access to the surrounding great outdoors. Beautiful lake view from the deck is a highlight. Nice firm beds. Well stocked with supplies.

Girls weekend
We had a wonderful time at this home. So close to Traverse City, and Sleeping bear. We went to the wineries up the Old Mission peninsula one day and the Leelanau peninsula another. Went fishing early morning on the rowboat, floated on the rafts in the beautiful quiet lake. The house was totally equipped with anything you need, and if you missed something, there is a country store around the corner that has Everything!, had a great time and would definitely go back!

The only negatives were the TV is very old/outdated. The DVD player did not work for the DVDs we brought. The canoe needs the seats fixed. Otherwise, what a wonderful, quiet location on a beautiful little lake.

Surrounded by nature
Super location at the “intersection” of Traverse City, the Sleeping Bear Dunes and the Leelanau Peninsula. Incredible lake view from the deck. Two stall garage is a bonus, especially if you are biking. House is spacious with two levels of visiting space.

Great lake side rental
First off I have to say Steve's customer service was great. very friendly and helpful. If I had a question he responded fairly quick. The home has everything he describes and more. The property is a great location on Lake Bryan and is pretty private. The neighbor next door was friendly and even offered his propane tank for the grille if we ran out. It is very peaceful and comfortable. The large deck was great for a cookout and relaxing. The kitchen has everything you would need and more. It actually has 2 kitchens with one downstairs along with a pool table and 3rd bedroom and bathroom. as well as laundry. There is a local store down the street that has everything you may need. It's only about 15-20 minutes from downtown Traverse City. We highly recommend staying here and will do so the next time we visit the area.

We loved waking to the gorgeous view of lake bryan. The area was quiet and peaceful. Just what we needed to escape daily life. The home was very nice and clean. As well as, stocked with anything we could need.

Clean & Great location
Although the weather could have been better, the cottage was in a great location for what we wanted. Located close to Frankfort, Traverse City, Suttons Bay, and Sleeping Bear National Park. We made it to all!
The cottage was VERY clean and neat. This is number one on our list of what we're looking for in a rental. We didn't cook at all but noticed that if we had wanted to, there was anything and everything you would need.
We also like some privacy and quiet. This had both. The time of year probably helped. It's a nice view of the lake from the deck. The weather kept me from fishing, but hope to return another time to maybe try again!

Great place to relax or explore
Lovely view, quiet, comfortable and clean. Just my husband and I for this trip, but would be perfect for a larger group requiring a degree of separation. Walk out has full bath, second kitchen, another bedroom, even a pool table! We enjoyed our meals at the Stone Oven in Lake Ann and Apache Trout in Traverse City and exploring lakeshore communities on the peninsula. Easy paddle around the small lake with provided boats. Natural woodsy feel and wildlife including great blue herons and a couple kinds of turtles.
Highly recommend this property!

Good to Get Away
Lake Bryan was perfect, quite, clear water, good rowing the boat.
We were very lucky to have perfect weather the four days we were there.
The house was exactly what we expected and more. Everything one needed was available.

What a great house! The lake was a bit weedy so it wasn't super-great for swimming, but we still enjoyed the water in the paddle boat. The house was well-stocked and the view was perfect. No complaints whatsoever! Thanks, Steve!!
