Bridgeside Rooms

Lovely room, everything in it and very well presented. Brilliant location in the centre and very clean. Great snacks.

Slight smell of mould, but not over powering - my pet hate, but I thought I should mention. Bit smaller than expected

Large comfy bed & chairs and a good bathroom. Colour scheme was lovely, size of accommodation good and excellent lighting. Good towels provided. The tall fan was super. Welcome pack was appreciated. The cleaners (Flick & Ryan) were great, provided a top up of decaf coffee & tea. Flick also gave us tips on the area, eg. Jackwoods and The Half Moon Pub/Restaurant. The church bells sound on the hour and one toll every quarter hour. We loved 'Derby's Café' for a full cooked breakfast plus lots of other choices at reasonable prices and ice cream milkshakes were delicious. We thought 'Baked Bean' was amazing ...... mouth-watering croissants, especially the pan au chocolate and almond ones! Superb iced coffees and we picked a wholemeal sourdough loaf to take home! 'Darcy's at the Station' served awesome freshly cooked meals, great atmosphere and great value.

The creaking floors were very bad and we felt extremely conscious of the noise for the people staying in the room below. The bathroom tap dribbled water down the outside of the glass bowl every time you turned it on as it has been fitted slightly too far away. The bedside cabinets have not been put together correctly so the drawers don't slot in properly. The TV remote control was warn out, very difficult to change channels, etc. No lighting on back lane to access the gate and courtyard. A Simple note in the information would be useful so that guests know they will need a torch when it's dark. It's worth noting that the smell of the pork pies cooking in the morning is quite strong, it didn't bother us but others might find it a bit overwhelming. No signage for the entrance from the square car park and the instructions for access are perfect but they do sound complicated, especially with the different key code, gate & door code. The car park is secure, gated and 400m away which is no problem and meant that we could park on arrival and walk everywhere in Ironbridge directly from this central location!
