Located in Whakatane, this charming house for $274 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. Expansive views out to volcanic White Island, Whale Island, The Raurimus, down the coast to the Islands off Tauranga in the distance from this modern luxury home. Nestled among native trees and subtropical gardens high on the hill behind Whakatane township, a quiet location with the Observatory being at the end of the cul de sac street to observe the southern skies. A perfect central destination for outdoor enthusiasts and families to discover the beautiful beaches, Harbour, walking and cycle tracks etc. Just down the road is a walking track to beautiful Otarawairere Bay, a secluded beach only accessible on foot or by kayaks, the track also leads you to New Zealands most loved beach "Ohope Beach" so safe to swim and enjoy all water sports. From land based fishing experiences to adventuring out to sea, the boat ramp is only 1.9km away.The Whakatane golf club is less than 10 minutes away as is the Awakeri thermal Hot Springs. Cities, Tauranga and Rotorua are only 1 hours drive away for more attractions. TV with unlimited wifi to watch Netflix if you are relaxing indoors. Outdoor furniture for 10 on the huge deck makes for great indoor/ outdoor flow. Please note this is NOT a party house, NO loud music, no one on the deck after 10 pm only inside voices only. Please give details as to whether you are a family group or a group with friends when inquiring. NO extra guests over the maximum guests agreed to (who are booked to stay) are allowed to enter the property, exceptions for this may be allowed but you must consult with us first. Immediate eviction of all guests will take place if any of these rules are broken and no refund of remaining nights will be given. Lorraine’s property was spacious with plenty of space and exceptional views. It was handy to town and many walks and cycle trails. The children enjoyed the spa. The house was extremely well equipped. Lorraine was very easy to contact and helpful. We enjoyed our stay.

For our family of 4 including a 2 year old, this was the best place to stay. Comfy beds, plenty of bathrooms, best hot tub to end the day with gorgeous views, short walking distance to downtown or to the beach… we enjoyed every minute. Hosts were communicative and kind. Thank you for an amazing stay!

An amazing House for our weekend away . A great location with stunning views. With the deck and spa to relax in. Easy communication with Lorraine though out the booking process. Kitchen was stunning , very well equipped with everything you would need plus. (Even though we ate out at Little Havana , highly recommend this restaurant to future guests.) Thank you once again, a truly memorable weekend

Fantastic communication and so lovely to deal with. The property is just amazing, organised, clean, nice beds and it has the most beautiful view. Everything you need to know is in the info book. Lovely spacious property with amazing views! Very well equipped with lots of extras. The only comment would be we were surprised how close we were to the road, it was a bank holiday weekend so the road was busy, not as tranquil as we hoped. Neighbours were also closer than anticipated. Probably not a problem if you live in Auckland but we live really. Overall lovely stay and Lorraine was a pleasure to deal with, very thoughtful!

We had a wonderful stay at Whakatane in Lorraine's beautiful house. Everything was perfect and Lorraine was so accommodating. I highly recommend this property, it has everything you could possible need and caters perfectly for larger groups. Thanks Lorraine for everything. The view / house/ accessibility to town / standard of cleanliness and communication was superb. We look forward to booking it again.

Awesome home

This was a fantastic space for two families , it had everything we needed and close to town. The bedding and linen was A+ , as the fireplace and spa pool was too. It was clean and well presented . A dryer would've been the only bonus as we were there in winter sports so struggled with one clothes horse inside,but that certainly wouldn't stop s from returning. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay , thanks.

Gorgeous home. Lovely and clean. Relaxing and stunning views. Love that everything we needed was there to use in the kitchen. Was very well equipped. Mayb a spare set of sheets would be good to leave for a backup in case they’re needed with kids in the night!! That was our only extra need. The spa was great too! Thanks so much for a wonderful experience in your beautiful house. We loved Whakatane again and enjoyed being there for another oxfam weekend. Thanks so much.

I cannot even begin to do justice to this amazing property- the most beautiful and functional property we have stayed in yet! We are a family of 5 with three teenage children and all of them were excited to have their own beautiful bedroom and plenty of space to entertain their cousins whom we were visiting. We were able to enjoy big family dinners with breathtaking views, a dip in the hot tub and every convenience and comfort you could need. We love this home - You will not be disappointed!

Fantastic views. Large spacious house. The best bach we have stayed in, in terms of having plenty of plates/glasses and all the household bits and pieces you need. Plus plenty of handsoap at each sink.
